4 K-Wings?

By Tvboy, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Anybody done this or have experience against it? Any tips on how to fly it? I’m guessing the optimal build includes Miranda, 3 Wardens, 4 barrage rockets, Sabine and some assortment of bombs.

Obviously a coincidence it being just streamed from Toronto? ;)

Been around a while. 4 wardens and after points drop can fit proton bombs and barrage rockets on all of them and Sabine on one making it even better

It’s a grind to beat it. So much health and consistency from the barrage rockets.

Our locals who used it say it is the most boring thing they have ever put on the table.

I had no idea. Just asking because I just picked up a 4th model and about to get 3rd and 4th dials and bases. Do you have a link to the stream/list?

So no Miranda?

@Estarriol Nvm found it, thanks for the heads up.

So I played the list in a tournament today and went 3-1. Only loss was by 1 point and to THE Portland System Open champion Gordon Pinkerton, playing Nien, L'ulo and a loaded Chewie.

Found that having 2 Ks with their arc forward and 2 to the side was the way to go, and the forward Ks would be the vanguard while the side arcs would be to sides or in the rear. Dropping 4 bombs on the table at once was good fun and challenging to not take damage on my own ships, but having 4 bombs made it almost impossible for my opponents to avoid, and Sabine made it feel worthwhile to actually hit something with the bomb even if it was through shields.

Couldn't disagree more, it was super fun and challenging to play. It's very tempting to just keep turning and knife-fight with the side arcs after the first barrage, but you definitely are rewarded for planning ahead and giving up turret attacks to SLAM and to get a 2nd pass at a barrage rocket.

Sounds cool, thanks for the info. Good job on 3-1.

I own 4 Kwings, but not enough dials or any barrage rockets.

Another set up I'd considered is losing Sabine and taking a mix of conner nets and prox mines, maybe 2 and 2, instead of proton bombs.
