That's a good point. I could include cards with updated threat levels as "Wave 3" cards... but I didn't keep notes on which ones changed. If there is a good archivist out there that knows which pre-Wave 3 cards have changed, please let me know and I'll separate them out for re-printing.

  • sigma squadron ace increased from 2 to 3 threat
  • rebel han solo decreased from 5 to 4 threat
  • leevan tenza increased from 2 to 3 threat
  • kullbee sperado increased from 2 to 3 threat
  • lothal rebel decreased from 6 threat to 4 threat
  • viktor hel decreased from 3 to 2 threat
  • unkar plutt decreased from 3 to 2 threat
  • sarco plank decreased from 3 to 2 threat
  • jakku gunrunner x2 increased from 2 to 3 threat (this is an older change but still worth noting

Those were the first set of changes, not sure if you've already incorporated them. The best place to track changes like these though would be to watch the git history for projects which store quick build data. There's https://gitlab.com/sirjorj/libxwing2 (sirjorj keeps that updated) and there's also https://github.com/guidokessels/xwing-data2 which I've been keeping up to date. The latter doesn't have any wave 3 content yet as I've not got my hands on the wave 3 quick build cards yet.

I’ve manually punched in all the quick build data in json format. @Tervlon was kind enough to comb the internet and send me photos of the quick build cards. I am not a github expert but I’ll take a swing at forking and stuff and see if I can get the data in there.

I love these. You’re the guy who made the generator so we could make our own ship cards, right?

Yes, I'm "that guy"! I posted these links in a couple other recent threads I updated, but maybe I should throw them here too just to be thorough. Here are the different Quick Build tools available on infinitearenas.com :

Quick Build Squad Builder (QBSB) : Design your squad using the official FFG Quick Builds. Once you've picked your squad, print and play.

Quick Build Deck Printer : Want to print out the entire quick build deck for a faction? Then use this! I've added the ability to print just the recent wave updates as well if you've already printed the pre-Wave 3 cards.

Custom Quick Build Card Maker : Design your squad using a squad builder like YASB 2.0 , export the XWS code, and paste the code into the custom quick build card maker. Hit "Submit", and you now have quick build cards ready for printing based on the squad you designed.

@gadwag I took a shot at forking and making a pull request. Total amateur and I'm a couple beers in, so any feedback on things I messed up is welcome!

Champion. I'm not the maintainer so I can't merge it, but I'll comment on your PR with any stuff you need to clean up.

How does one choose a few to look at only, or print just a few? Drag the images out into your own document file?

You could use QBSB and print your selected squad of just the cards you want. If you want the images in a file, I’ve had good luck with print-to-pdf.

Updated with all Wave 4 content! If you want to see/print just the new content, look for the "(Wave 4 Only)" specifier in the drop-down.

New quick builds: B-Wing, Falcon, Decimator, Resistance Transport, N-1, and Hyena.

These are great! I'm running a demo this weekend and had been hand making text only cards just to have the information on them, but these already have the pilot abilities and upgrades included for ease of new players.

One request - would it be possible to make them more printer friendly? Maybe B&W line art instead of full color.

Hey @J1mBob have you ever tried printing these on cards? I can't find a good size where I don't have to do some cropping to get the image to fit on a card (I'm talking tarot or bigger) Thanks

I've been trying to figure out some CSS image filtering options but am not very happy with the product yet. I've added a drop-down option at the top of the Quick Build Deck page that lets you select no background image, black and white background, and inverted black and white. I'm still trying to tweak a CSS filter that will create more of a line art version of the art, but it's just not looking good yet. I'll update everyone if/when I tune it in to look good.

I usually print them at roughly 3" x 7" with three to a page (8.5" x 11" portrait). But that's in part because I don't use sleeves or anything so a non-standard size isn't an issue. My filthy casual buddies and I all like the 3" x 7" size because all of our shield and charge tokens fit onto the card very nicely. Tuning the layout to work on a tarot card is on my todo list, but I admit I allow my Patreon supporters to prioritize my todo list.

Updated with ship icons:

Oh, hey, something like this is exactly why I was tuning back in here. Glad to hear it! Card stock and some Tarot-sized sleeves for a proper deck of QB cards sounds incredible :D

(Also I will try to remember to check out your Patreon if I manage to get a new job soon. Just started looking, as growth opportunities at my current job seem a bit stunted, but until then... not so much budget room for X-Wing and related stuff. <_< )

This is super cool!

Thank you! Lots of other nifty tools to explore at infinitearenas.com !

thanks for keeping up on this. you are the hero FFG needs but does not deserve.

You know what format Quick Builds would work really good in?

Draft format!

This is 100% accurate. A total blast.

I can confirm the draft format being awesome

Draft is a primary reason I would love to see a deck of quick build cards made available with faction backs. It would make draft viable and cut down setup dramatically if you didn't have to dig out all the cards.

How would one go about drafting these? Like how many cards per pack and how many packs? Would list-building still be faction locked, or penalties/benefits for mixing factions or being faction-pure? And how would you make sure everyone had access to the ships that they drafted? I don't know anyone who plays more than 3 factions.
