Which units to buy 1-of or 2-of?

If you don't play on tournaments, you can cobble together some "counts as" figures for almost everyone of the specialists. I dont believe they will truly shine until vehicles come out.

Ive done well with snipers and even made my 3rd set from some extra commando/trooper figures and small plastic rods. Wookiees dont fit a great rebel theme yet. I have 2 units of fleets but that's because my opponents are afraid of them for aome reason. Ewebs I'm not impressed with. Fd1.4 turret is average but a different playstyle than most other units.

Deployment is everything

B. 1 x Imp/Reb Specialists; 2 x Snowies/Fleeties

C. Palpatine; 1 x Royal Guards - Love my E-Webs, but Royal Guard are too much fun and very useful~

C. 2 x Wookiees - Pathfinders look fun, but to strike terror into your opponents drop two units of Wookies on em!

That sounds fun. Most people I've played are too constrained by budget to not use Stormtroopers, but I'd love to fight your Blizzard Force.

They didn't end up feeling expensive because I followed a rule of only buying as fast I could the last squad. So if I was too busy to paint my newest squad, my wallet got some recovery time. Ordering 6 squads even with an online discount all at once would hurt. Buying a squad at a time from the FLGS spread out over months wasn't too painful.

For reference, I have two cores, most of the characters, a third AT-RT, an AT-ST, a T-47, and 1-of Snowies, Fleeties, Scouts, and Commandos.

My honest answer is this.

Get Priority Supplies. The scenery is a decent value, the spare bases are handy, and the cards bump you up from 64 possible missions to 125 possible missions. That's huge if you are looking for variety.

I would get two more snowtroopers and another AT-ST, and 2 e-webs. That will give you enough points and corps to run an all-Hoth army and the 2nd AT-ST can be sent over to other planets no problem. If you don't care about that level of aesthetics they will still mesh into imperial lists in lots of fun ways.
