A Fresh look at Sloane Swarm

I'm trying to rethink the Sloane Swarm. I like the IF, H9, QTC combo on an ISD. The naked Quasar is a sore sight, but double gozanti helps spilt the threat. High activation, high squadron count, double threat between squadrons and the ISD. Objs, Most Wanted, Hyperspace, Superior Position. Thoughts?

You don’t want accuracies in a Sloane list; your fighters should be spending their defense tokens, so it’s redundant or gets in the way of them burning the tokens. Damage is king, and the Cymoon is somewhat lacking on that front. The Quasar needs upgrades: Boosted Comms and Squall for sure, hopefully Flight Controllers to help win squadron fights. Otherwise it’s going to either wander close to the squadron fight and into danger or stay too far away to contribute effectively. So in that vein, I would drop a Gozanti, upgrade to an ISD-2, (better carrying capacity, better survivability with ECMs, better damage) give it boosted Comms and maybe Pryce, and give the Quasar the essentials.

Lastly, Hyperspace assault with Quasar just isn’t scary. The squadrons it hits with are fast enough to get where they need to be anyway (especially with Squall.) Planetary Ion Cannon or Fighter Ambush can work.
