Supplements Available in the UK?

By signoftheserpent, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Dear Jedi scum and their FFG overlords...

So, these books (the class sourcebooks specifically, Endless Vigil even more specifically) are perenially OOS! It's not just Force and Destiny either. Do we have any idea when the next printing will be? Other than insane Amazon prices (Endless Vigil is £45 and No Disintegrations is £70! I'd rather eat poodoo!) I can't find them anywhere.

These books are rarer than holocrons (caveat: I have Unlimited Power and the Counselar book)

Thanks

Have you tried online store outside UK but still in Europe ? There isn't only amazon that sells RPG books online on this side of the Channel.

Postage too high unfortunately

I feel your pain signoftheserpent. I too live in the UK and would love some of those career books. I think such long spells between print runs is stupid of FFG.

Does seem that their print run sizes are very conservative. I've no idea when we can expect something new

For Fully Operational there seem to have been fewer shipped to the UK than there were pre-orders! (Or the place I pre-ordered from screwed up)

I feel really bad for everyone over there. I'm visiting the UK in a few weeks. I feel like I should smuggle in some sourcebooks for you.

Come on now, if you really want it bad enough, you'll find a way to pay that postage.

Well if you can get me Keeping the peace and endless vigil I wouldn't say no :P

There many splatbooks available here :

Star Wars FFG Books

In France so here is the cost for shipping :

Frais de porc

The cost for the UK might change after the 19th march. But I bet it still will be cheaper than the shipping from the USA.

Out of stock. And unfortunately expensive

Sam Kinison told the people of Africa to stop waiting for crops to grow in the sand. He said they should just accept the way things are and move to the food. The same concept could apply here.

Shout out to Zatu Games. Never used them before, but they had a "notify when in stock" option for Fully Operational. 2 copies came in stock on Friday, I ordered one, it arrived today. Now out of stock again of course!

I got a few of these things around a few sites, sadly nothing is biting.

So why is there so little FFG books available in Europe?

I have had to get my AoR books from France. I am French originally so it was an easy option and thank god we play a lot of RPGs there. I am in Ireland.

But I can't get a copy of Fully Operational. It seems it never made it to the European shelves!!

They tend to sell out very quickly. The best thing you can do is find a supplier that takes pre-orders and get the order in as early as possible, so they can order stock for you specifically when the book is released. I've been using Shiny Games for a while now, and they deliver around Europe. I don't know what the cost to deliver to Ireland would be, or how it would be affected when/if Brexit happens, but I'd recommend giving them a look.

I got so desperate I ordered a bunch from amazon.com, came in a week and averaged about £22 per career book.
