Boba/Guri. They may have just been bad with the combo, but man if Guri doesn't pop when you split her from her wing mate. Probably doesn't help I was running a Swarm Tac Scyk squad. ๐

I hit one of these too. Got ready for a battle, but it was all over quick. Definitely in game mistakes in my match.

I'd be hard pressed to give specific lists, and even then I'd have to question whether it was player mistake over list failure. I will note however I usually give my opponent the benefit of the doubt and assume there's a reason for the list they have chosen and take it quite seriously until the rout is clearly already begun. Case in point - 5 Interceptors vs 4 Phantoms. I expected a close and painful match, but due to play decisions it was over in 6 or 7 turns with only half points lost on one ship.
Edited by LagJansonDouble Defenders. It was Rexler/Ryad, and I flew...I don't recall. I can see where it would be brutal in the hands of a more experienced player. But my opponent, while a dedicated 1.0 DD player, didn't have *that* much experience, and I was able to take a comfortable lead by time called.
Seems like there are a lot of lists where they have the potential to tear you up, but are very dependent upon their player. Boba/Guri above, Double Defenders. Maybe most any two-ship list?

In my experience, having played this list, it's really effective against 2 ship lists, can handle 3 ship lists, but begin to struggle against 4+ ships. It's still fun, the defender is a really good plateform. However it must be played very carefully, like a "hit-and-run", as it cannot whistand well multiple attacks.
About the OP, I faced a double StarFortress. Pretty impressive at first with all their HPs. I faced it with a Tie swarm. I was afraid a proton bomb + VTG double Attack and Paige shenanigan will cut through my 3 hulls easily. Turned out I took one out in the first round of engagement, loosing only one TIE. The other one was a piece of cake against the 5 remainings TIEs..

Advice. Don't out yourself as having not played against something (IE Tripsilons) in a current version then post what you posted in this thread.

I was using that as an example, as that was the most drastic scenario where I beat an upsilon, I've played against modern tripsilon, and while they are admittedly better, they still aren't that great
Wedge. I faced him twice last week, and while in one game he got some decent shots off, I was able to corner him in both games and take him down without as much effort as I anticipated.
