I have been thinking about taking this list to an upcoming tournament and I have had some success with the same ships but different pilots. Would Trick Shot or Predator work better with these ships?

I really dig Predator/Heroic on the As. However, I would splurge for L'ulo over Greer. That leaves room for Ello (lose HLC) and Nien with PA, both with Heroic. A squad of 5s, all very maneuverable, and all very well able to modify their red dice

On the A-Wings Trick Shot is the go to option. I have recently come 2nd on a 32 player extended tournament with an XXA List, where I flew predator on L'Ulo. It triggered almost never since more often than not you will just fly past your opponent using your rear arc. I guess the occasional trick shot is much more easy to line up, even without trying very hard. As predator only triggers with your primary, trick shot is also the better option for the X-Wings, since you are more likely to use the HLC if you actually manage to get someone in your bulls eye. This is, however not an easy thing to accomplish, I flew HLC on Poe quite a bit and managed to pull it off often enough but this was only due to his great repositioning and high initiative.

Dropping the HLCs for Jamming Beams will give you access to Nien Nunb with Pattern Analyser, R4, Black One and Elusive, which is probably one of the best ships around atm and by far the best resistance ship. You could also consider dropping elusive on nien for heroic to save another 2 points. I would also drop composure on Temmin for heroic, which triggers on 15% of your green dice rolls on an x-wing. Well worth the point imo.

I don’t have any Pattern Analyzer cards in my inventory. Also, I’m playing in a Hyperspace tournament so jamming is out too.

Nien without patternanalyser looses a lot of potential, if I were you I would try to get that card or borrow it. It is an auto include imo.

And keep composure on Temmin. It's far better than Heroic for 1 pt.

I did get a Resistance conversion kit (it was on sale on at a tournament) to get PA and a couple of other cards. I dropped Temmin for Ello so all my ships have initiative 5. Here is how my list is currently organized.

Here is the list I took to a tournament this past Saturday and got 10th out of 12 for my efforts:

Nien Numb (T-70) with Heroic, R4, Integrated S-Foils

Ello Asty (T-70) with Heroic and Integrated S-Foils

L'ulo L'ampar (AZ-2) with Trick Shot

Tallissan Lintra (AZ-2) with Trick Shot

Most lists I see, have Pattern Analyzer on Nien Numb.

Also, I would expect Heroic would work better on the AZ-2's than a T-70. It can be applied to both attacks and defence in that way
