This i why I always turn around and face the same way as the ship so I don't screw that up.

I face the white section of the dial the same as the ship's front arc. He used upgraded dials though so translating that from white section to notch might have slipped. Also might have been a misread on how much space there was to the board edge. It was the Final of a big event, so brain fatigue is easily a factor.

Yeah BCP. Many similar lists to Extended. There is one undefeated 5xY Rebel list as a change. There’s a Vennie and three named A-wings (which is my favorite list currently).
Most of the others are very similar with Wedge and/or Luke featuring.
One correction - One of the lists labeled Empire is actually Rebel.
This is the one actual Empire:
Countdown, Gideon, Vermeil, Vader
After four rounds of Hyperspace, only three lists remain undefeated:
Rebel - Wedge, Garven, Dutch, U-wing
Rebel - 5x Y-wing with Ion turrets and VTG
Resistance - Poe, L’ulo, Nien

The Upsilon bogeymen have been slain.
Not yet. Not for Hyperspace.
What happened to the Upsilon apocalypse?

I’m not saying they’re not good, but the top Upsilon list in Hyperspace right now is 2-2.

Well, much like the forecasted storm, they never showed up.
Its not a fun list for anybody so why bring it?

I think this is the biggest reason. Broken or not (I lean strongly towards it being broken as ****) it isn't really fun for either side of table, except those few that get off on round one gimmicks.

I have a lot of meta questions for which Toronto has given me no better answer than "I guess nobody brought it?"

Dee Yun did give the Drea + 3 Lok Revenants a go.
There's also a potential herd immunity thing. 3Ups is good against some things, but some of the biggest trends have been towards Rebel Swarm and other unfavorable matchups for the Ups. Player A's list doesn't need to counter 3Up, if enough of Players B through Z will fly lists that are unfavorable to it.
There are a few of them in Hyperspace not doing great. Several other lists running one or two Upsilons.
I think nobody wants to run the gimmick lists, but at these big events they come out if they’re truly dominant because people want to win.
I think @theBitterFig is right that if these Rebel swarmy lists are going to lead the meta (both Extended and Hyperspace), then that doesn’t favor the Ups. And the two new factions on the horizon are going to feature small ship swarms.
I’d still like to see the Triple Ups gimmick broken up. I think it’s just better for the game.

To be sure. Even if it's "balanced," it's unfun.
I personally favor an errata to Dormitz to only allow small and medium base ships to get the forward deployment.

Toronto meta loves aces. I am surprised not to see more of the meta terrors. Think the Phantoms were played because at least the one using them is having fun changing the game state constantly. I had a mirror match knocking down one quad set, and I’ve heard I wasn’t the only mirror. Could easily have been more of those near the top.

Another proof that generic are really good and FFG did a good job ! The final just prove it !

🤨 The Final was one of the players missetting a dial and flying one of their key ships off the table then conceding. The Semi-finals and most of the lead up to them solidified that Rebel generics are pretty good enmass.

Well, flying one off the table and pointing a second the wrong way just as the fight was about to start. Either one of those things is bad but maybe survivable with a stroke of luck, both was back breaking.

Two lists, 10 generics, 1 limited ship. Yes even the missetting is a sad thing but still good to see generic going far imho.
Rebel are indeed good for the mass, I now want to play with my old BBXXZ again.
The five Y-wings was the only list to go 6-0 in Hyperspace. More Y-wings to come in the events ahead? Definitely more good news for Rebels.

Also, it's rubbish against people with a brain.

VTG Y-Wings are the new Barrage Bombers.
Firesprays are pretty good against Y-Wings. They have reinforce, take more tokens to ion, can range control easily and have a rear arc so they don't need to joust.

Agreed, Boba especially. I took down a Perceptive Boba with my Ys but it did take aaaages to chew through.

In Hyperspace or Extended context?
I ask because basically nobody brought Boba to the system open. I didn't get as close of a look at the qualifier.
