I’m picking up a collection of rebel units a guy who’s getting out is selling (and unpainted too - score!) so since the value was there I couldn’t say no.

I am putting forth two lists - one from just the lot and one combining my core set survivor (an atrt, my corps units are long ago sold off when I said imperials only) and a pair of purchases I could make. Looking to see if these are good enough for introducing people to the game or having fun casual games at home. Not competing with these (I’ll still do that only with my empire units where the collection is more fleshed out).

Using the lot alone, I’m capable of building a minimalist list:

This is almost exactly the list that I play LOL am I good, not at all, but if you're teaching people, this feels like it would be better than the T-47 list, since people generally see the T-47 get crushed quickly. At least here you don't have any units that aren't wholly useful.

I am looking at having an easy to understand list that performs well enough for learning. I can make empire ones easy because I have a lot to choose from. Wasn’t sure how “good” or new player mistake friendly this is from a Rebel perspective.

I envision it going down something like “here’s two lists - You newcomer can play one and I’ll play the other”.

Yeah, I absolutely think you've got a variety of rules/keywords and things to use here in teaching, and of course, more troopers are good, and the AT-RT is very good, too. I only use Leia in my list so that I can fully load up on Z6s and 4 Trooper squads. But yeah, Wonder Twins + the three AT-RT seems really good!
