Corruption Extravaganza

So I'm a big fan of FFG boardgame set in 40k universe called Relic. In the game, there is great variety of so called "Corruption Cards", that you can earn either willingly or not, giving you random buffs and penalties (mostly the latter). I thought, that it may be fun to try to convert those to Dark Heresy.

Rolls are taken only when GM says so. I recommend rolling when a character reads some kind of Tome containing forbidden knowledge, or maybe when trying to communicate with the Dark Powers, through a ritual.

GM can decide that player must roll more than once, but be careful, as some roll results are forcing to roll more times on the table, so you can get huge ammounts of corruption in short time. The visibility of effects, are up to GM. You can stop at statistics, or rule that for example "LIMB LOSS" actually causes your arm to fall off.

I recommend that there should be a way of discarding traits (as in boardgame), but it's up to GM, how hard and time-consuming will it be.

Here's what I came up with:

01-35: MUNDANE. Gain 1 Corruption Point. If you caused the roll willingly, gain 1d5 Insanity Points, as The Dark Powers ignore your deeds

36-37: EMACINATION. Gain 2 Corruption Points. Roll d10. 1-3 : Lose 3 WS. 4-6 : Lose 3 S. 7-9 Lose 3 T. 0 : Lose 1 WS, 1 S , 1 T

38-39: UNREASONABLE FEAR. Gain 2 Corruption Points. Roll d10. 1-3 : Lose 3 BS. 4-6 : Lose 3 Int. 7-9 Lose 3 WP. 0 : Lose 1 BS, 1 Int, 1 WP

40-41: HIDEOUS APPEARANCE. Gain 2 Corruption Points. Roll d10. 1-3 : Lose 3 Ag. 4-6 : Lose 3 Per. 7-9 Lose 3 Fel. 0 : Lose 1 Ag, 1 Per, 1 Fel

42-43: THE ROT. Gain 2 Corruption Points. Lose 2 WS, 2 S, 2 T.

44-45: CRISIS OF FAITH. Gain 2 Corruption Points. Lose 2 BS, 2 Int, 2 WP.

46-47: STUPOR. Gain 2 Corruption Points. Lose 2 Ag, 2 Per, 2 Fel.

48-49: CLOUD OF FLIES. Gain 2 Corruption Points. Gain Trait "Enemies within 3m reduce their Strength and Toughness by 10."

50-51: RAPID REGENERATION. Gain 2 Corruption Points. Gain Trait "Once a day test Toughness. On a success, heal 1 Wound."

52-53: OVERGROWN BODY PART. Gain 2 Corruption Points. roll d10: 1 : +2 WS, 2 : +2 BS, 3 : +2 S, 4 : +2 T, 5 : +2 Ag, 6 : +2 Int, 7 : +2 Per, 8 : +2 WP, 9 : +2 Fel, 0 : +2 Wounds

54: HAEMORRHAGING CYSTS. Gain 3 Corruption Points. Gain Trait "Whenever you gain 2 or more Corruption points during a single day, take 1 damage, with no reduction from T or AP"

55-56: BLOOD RAGE. Gain 3 Corruption Points. Gain Trait "Substract 20 from Concealment and Silent Move tests, if you can see / hear / sense the enemy"

57-58: DIMENSIONAL INSTABILITY. Gain 3 Corruption Points. roll d10: 1 : -2 WS, 2 : -2 BS, 3 : -2 S, 4 : -2 T, 5 : -2 Ag, 6 : -2 Int, 7 : -2 Per, 8 : -2 WP, 9 : -2 Fel, 0 :-2 Wounds

59-60: COWARDICE. Gain 3 Corruption Points. Gain Trait "You don't get To-Hit bonuses based on enemy's size"

61-62: MULTIPLE ARMS. Gain 3 Corruption Points. Gain Trait: "You can wield two-handed weapons in your main hand, without penalties"

63-64: ACID EXCRECTION. Gain 3 Corruption Points. Gain Trait "once every 6 hours, as a Reaction, you can shoot following weapon: Range: 3m; Damage: 1d5; Pen: 4; Toxic. In order to do this, your mouth must not be blocked"

65-66: SUPERIOR INTELLECT. Gain 3 Corruption Points. Gain a Discipline power, with threshold equal or less than 3x your WP bonus. if you dont have Psy Rating, Gain trait "every 6 hours you can try to manifest a psychic power. It requires passing a Hard(-20) Willpower test"

67-68: SLAVE TO DARKNESS. Gain 4 Corruption Points. Roll again on this table.

69-70: WEAKENED BODY. Gain 4 Corruption Points. Gain trait "Armour weights twice as much for you"

71-72: LIMB LOSS. Gain 4 Corruption Points. Gain trait "You can't wield any weapons in your offhand. You can't wield two-handed weapons"

73-74: THE LOST AND THE DAMNED. Gain 4 Corruption Points. Roll d5-1 more times on this table

75: IRON HARD SKIN (ENERGY). Gain 4 Corruption Points. Gain Trait "Whenever you take Energy damage, reduce the ammount by 1"

76: IRON HARD SKIN (IMPACT). Gain 4 Corruption Points. Gain Trait "Whenever you take Impact damage, reduce the ammount by 1"

77: IRON HARD SKIN (EXPLOSIVE). Gain 4 Corruption Points. Gain Trait "Whenever you take Explosive damage, reduce the ammount by 1"

78: IRON HARD SKIN (RENDING). Gain 4 Corruption Points. Gain Trait "Whenever you take Rending damage, reduce the ammount by 1"

79-80: UNNATURAL VIGOUR. Gain 4 Corruption Points. Heal 8 Wounds. You can exceed your max wounds.

81-82: SLAVE TO DARKNESS. Gain 5 Corruption Points. Roll again on this table.

83: WANING STRENGTH. Gain 5 Corruption Points. Gain Trait "Whenever you gain 2 or more Corruption points during a single day, roll d10. 1-3 : Lose 2 WS. 4-6 : Lose 2 S. 7-9 : Lose 2 T. 0 : Gain 1 Fatigue"

84: LANGUISHING MIND. Gain 5 Corruption Points. Gain Trait "Whenever you gain 2 or more Corruption points during a single day, roll d10. 1-3 : Lose 2 BS. 4-6 : Lose 2 Int. 7-9 : Lose 2 WP. 0 : Gain 1 Fatigue"

88-89: BEWEAPONED EXTREMITES. Gain 5 Corruption Points. Roll d10. 1-3 : Gain Natural Weapons trait. 4-6 : gain 10 WS 7-0 : gain 10 BS

90-91: SLAVE TO DARKNESS. Gain 6 Corruption Points. Roll again on this table.

92-93: WARP FRENZY. Gain 6 Corruption Points. Gain trait "Once per encounter you can re-roll any dice roll. If new result is worse, keep previous result and lose 1 wound"

94-95: PRESCIENCE. Gain 6 Corruption Points. Gain trait "Once per day you can re-roll any dice roll. If new result is worse, keep previous result and gain 2 Corruption Points"

96-97: INVISIBILITY. Gain 6 Corruption Points. Gain trait "add 20 to your Concealment and Silent Move tests"

98-99: SLAVE TO DARKNESS. Gain 7 Corruption Points. Roll again on this table.

00: MUTANTOUS GROWTH. Gain 7 Corruption Points. Gain trait "Whenever you gain 2 or more Corruption points during a single day, increase chosen characteristic by 2"
