Just a week ago I played with my AFII, NebB and MC30c for the first time in a long while.

Were you playing that Satan's Garm list?

I read the generation behind that list. It's either Satan or a heck of a lot of ketamine and/or opiates

I really want to play the satin Garm list AKA the dumpster fire, I am just having trouble pushing myself to take it to the local tournament this weekend, as it looks like something I would need to play at least one game with before I was comfortable with it.

dumpster fire?

cr90, raider and interdictor. Just bought a 3rd interdictor for $12.50 on Amazon so I'm toying g with a triple Dictor fleet that provably won't be super competitive but should be fun. I have a raider in a CC group that we just started and plan to make it two raiders when I build up my fleet so we will see how that goes.

Cr90 though... They just don't interest me but I know they are not bad.

We are working out some of the more obvious kinks - such as "we have exactly 1 non-Heavy squadron"

But it works surprisingly well.

I should have a battle report up on it later today or tomorrow. But I played with the modification of dropping Boosted Comms for Phoenix Home and a SFO. Both were super handy. Also dropped Gold and 1 Y-Wing for 2 A-Wings.

And yes, play the fleet. It is an absolute blast.

I haven't flown a Gladiator since wave 2 dropped.

Yes, that includes Demolisher. Guess I'm just afraid of becoming too reliant on that ship and title.

All of them. Work, parenting, building a home and not having anyone to play with in the vicinity tends to havethat effect... :(

AFII; it just doesn't cut it against ISDs. The ship is too slow, has crappy defenses and just gets torn apart every time it is fielded.

Ackbar. Much Ackbar, yes.

Then you are doing something wrong.

An AF2 should survive a medium front shot from any ISD (Kuat at black is another matter). Then you dance dance dance to the side. Toilet bowls people!

Drop the Neb for upgrades or a TRC90. Just sayin'

The Pelta. I own 2 of them, but never used any of them in a fleet yet. Will need to change that soon.

I haven't used the Assualt Frigate in a very long time.

Sector fleet points and Ackbar have made me put them into the lists, but still haven't put them on a table.

I mean, yes, Ackbar makes the AFKII much better. The problem, though, is that the AFKII makes Ackbar much worse. If you want to Ackbar, that's cool and all, but then either go (A) Fish Farm MC80 or go (B) MC30 Scouts. The MC30s are generally as resilient as the AFKII, but they are cheaper (even with their titles added), faster, more nimble, and get more mileage out of TRC thanks to double-evade.

Anecdotal as heck, but I actually find the AFKII to be particularly useful when running Sato or Akbar fleets. It's one of the only rebel platforms that can push mass squads and take the flight controllers upgrade. With toryn nearby you're turning those 3-5 squads into kill machines.

I will say that I completely agree it's definitely costed out quite often due to the efficiency of the mc30.

I'm finding that the game feels more balanced at 800 points too. Ships that are regularly avoided are an option with the extra points. Makes for an interesting game dynamic. I played a fleet last week with 3 mc30s, and the more I look back, the more I'm seeing the AFKII as a better option.

Again, anecdotal, hardly relevant, but that's what I've seen.

I haven't used an MC80H in a long while come to think of it. Since moving to Cracken for my primary Rebel Commander it just hasn't hit the table.
