Hello all,

I know this will never happen, but can we, perhaps, together, discuss about "fan creating" Old Republic Era factions (Sith Empire/Galactic Republic, and perhaps Mandalorians ? Even Eternal Empire ?) ? I know this will never be an official thing (tho this Era is clearly why I love Star Wars), because it is "not canon and it will surely never be". But a dream is a dream.

Or is this completely a waste of time (and a waste of topic on the forum ?)

Since it isn't a potential upcoming product soon, I could imagine there would be plenty of people that might enjoy that.

Eh, not my era, but to each their own.

I would love for Mandalorians to become a faction in Legion. They are one of the few factions which has existed in some form from the Old Republic all the way to the "present" day. They could be the super elite faction with very few, but very tough and damaging, bodies.

I'd say their basic Corps unit would be something like,

Warriors of Mandalor. Mandalorian soldiers: 3 figures. 120 pts

Red Defense Die: 2 hit points: Courage 3. Movement 1-3

Surges: Defense Surge to Block. Attack Surge to Hit.

Melee: 1 Red. Ranged: Mandalorian Heavy Blaster Rifle: Range 1-3: 2 Blacks. Pierce 1. Disruptor Pistol: Range 1-2. 1 Red. Pierce 1, Impact 1

Special Rules: Impervious, Precise 1, Arsenal 2

Upgrade Bar: Training, 2 Gear, 1 Grenade

Potential upgrades;

Jet Packs: Gear upgrade. Mandalorian only. 15 points. Your unit gains the Jump 2 action.

Penetrator Rockets: Gear Upgrade. Mandalorian only. 15 pts. Each figure in the unit gains the following weapon. Penetrator Rocket: Range 2-3: 1 Red. Impact 2, Pierce 2.

Flamethrowers: Gear Upgrade. Mandalorian only. 20 points. Each figure in the unit gains the following weapon. Flamethrower: Range 1: 1 Black. Blast, Spray

Make a file of a bunch of black circles the same diameter as legion diameter bases. Print them on thin cardstock. Blu-tack a bunch of old D20 older era figures to them. Let us know how it went. They made enough Mandalorians and Old Republic figures to play a game as I recall. Some kind of troops, vehicles, and heroes for each.

As for me and my house, we shall play GCW.

This part is gross. So much fire. Maybe just make it a heavy upgrade.

60 pts for a unit for 3black dice per mini in the defending unit.

It's like 3 times the price of the heavy flamers on the AT-RT, for no even twice the effectivness. It's a lot, but it's pricy as ****.

Yeah, 20 points for all 3 minis.

That still makes them 46 points each minimum, which I think is fair. And realistically, you'd be upgrading them more too.

With Jetpacks and Flamethrowers you'd be looking at a unit costing 155 points. 51.6 point models. They should absolutely have disgusting firepower for that cost.
