I purchased my 4th VSD due to the increased points rules and because it was that super cheap AND because it has some decent upgrade cards.

Its just begging for a kitbash, maybe a ISD1 bridge from Mel, mounted almost flush in the superstructure . Like Resurgent SD.

And then I bought 2 half price Nebulon - B's, and another Light Carrier, and another Gladiator, and more Hammerheads. I was really tempted by the Interdictor price slash, but I could not convince myself I needed more than one.

2 worked great for my first 800 point game. (700 points of ships do not like being confined to a third of the map/starting speed 0 with Fighter Ambush.)

Now to try it with three given FCT to duplicate the FA effect beyond the 3 squads allotted by Squall...

Hmm... sure are a lot of Armada fire-sales starting to happen on Amazon in the past week.

EH... Victories, Interdictors and Nebulons.

The first two were never great sellers, and I don't think I've ever seen the latter *NOT* on Sale from Day one...

Hmm... VSDs I think shine better at the Task Force point format than standard. There, ISDs become kind of prohibitively expensive where VSDs offer much of the same.

If only FFG would canonize the smaller point games in an official capacity. Then I think they'd come back.

Prices are still dropping... now if only squadrons would follow...

squadrons haven't fallen because they've never been produced in nearly the quantity to meet demand, let alone exceed it like vic's / interdictors.

Is this related to release of SSD? First core set was half price then Interdictor, now Victory, maybe they are trying to get few more players before the big one comes

Amazon has been running a deep discount sale on the Interdictor, the Victory and the Nebulon-B for a few weeks now. I normally like to purchase my ships from my FLGS; however, low prices like these are hard to pass up especially since the release of the Sector Fleet rules. Three ships for the price of one allows me to bulk up my fleets quickly and cheaply.

When ISD were on sale for $13, I went to buy one. Somehow, I bought a third VSD for $13 by acccident. So...what do I do with three VSD’s? I don’t even use one these days.

Thinking about flying a triple VSD just as a lark (and somewhat mocking my recent failures with triple Cymoon).

But if someone wants a cheap VSD in NoVA, let me know. I’ve got one I can part with cheap.
