Scum Squad 2.0

By RandoMando, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I m just starting to get into X wing. I own all the current 2.0 Scum Ships (No Conversion Kit or old ships). I am trying to build a good squad to play with and am getting frustrated because all the builds I see online have cards that I don't own. Can anyone give me a good 2.0 Scum Squad that uses only the current 2.0 ships: YT 1300, Fang Fighter, Modified Tie, and Slave 1?

Here is a list I was playing around with:

6 •Han Solo (54) - Customized YT-1300 Light Freighter 󲁋 Trick Shot (2) 󲁘 Rigged Cargo Chute (4) 󲁒 •Lando Calrissian (8) 󲁒 •Qi’ra (2)
󲁚 •Lando’s Millennium Falcon (6)

5 •Boba Fett (86) - Firespray-class Patrol Craft
󲁋 Outmaneuver (6) 󲁏 Proton Torpedoes (12)

󲁐 Concussion Missiles (6) 󲁒 Perceptive Copilot (8) 󲁚 •Slave I (2)

196 /200 pts

This maybe:

Firespray -class Patrol Craft - •Boba Fett - 94
•Boba Fett - Notorious Bounty Hunter (86)
Perceptive Copilot (8)

Escape Craft - •L3-37 - 28
•L3-37 - Droid Revolutionary (26)
Tactical Officer (2)

Fang Fighter - •Fenn Rau - 68
•Fenn Rau - Skull Leader (68)

Total: 190/200

Notes:

- There's a ten point bid there because Boba and Fenn like moving last if possible.

- If a bid is not a consideration for you the following upgrades would be useful:

> Fearless on Fenn

> Slave I on Boba

- L3 is there mostly to coordinate actions to the other two. For Fenn in particular, a pre-move boost or barrel role, linked into a focus followed by a blue move and a target lock is powerful

- While it might seem a bit minimalist, generally speaking these ships don't need a whole bunch of upgrades to be effective. Boba and Fenn have powerful pilot abilities.

Try out this list. Fenn and Boba are a little stripped back but still okay, and the surveyor with intimidation is a well priced little blocker.

Fenn Rau — Fang Fighter 68
Predator 2
Ship Total: 70
Half Points: 35 Threshold: 2
Boba Fett — Firespray-class Patrol Craft 86
Perceptive Copilot 8
Slave I 2
Ship Total: 96
Half Points: 48 Threshold: 5
Mining Guild Surveyor — Mining Guild TIE Fighter 25
Intimidation 3
Ship Total: 28
Half Points: 14 Threshold: 2

Your total is 194, so either a small initiative bid or room for something extra you might like.

Thank you soooo much. This really helps.

solid looking list. 3pts for debis gambit on boba might be worth it as u can get evade plus double focus with coordinate if boba is range one of an obstacle.

If you go to any squadbuilder and select the hyperspace format, you won't be buried under cards you don't have. Hyperspace is a whole format of only non-conversion kit stuff. You'll be able to explore competitive play with that format with great freedom

Would exchanging the Perceptive Copilot for IG-88D and adding Fearless to Boba a side upgrade? Or would Perceptive Copilot be just better overall?

Good idea! That would be better, but the OP was looking for something that's legal for Hyperspace I think.

I'm in the middle of figuring out a hyperspace scum list, this is what I've got so far:

(86) Boba Fett
(2) Slave I
(8) Perceptive Copilot
Points 96

(68) Fenn Rau
(3) Swarm Tactics
Points 71

(30) Captain Seevor
Points 30

Total points: 197

Seevors a steel at 30 points BTW. I've been wanting to get Seevor to shoot at I6 for his ability to hop in straight away. The feeling with list would be to keep all of my ships within R1 of the enermy and also fenn and seevor next to each other. Not had any games with it yet so not sure how viable swarm tactics will be with having to stay at R1 with Fenn. I also don't know if having predator/fearless would be better options none the less. What do others think? Swarm tactics or Fearless or Predator.

I've tried it, but after the initial engagement it is genuinely hard to keep them within R1 of each other while simultaneously having Fenn in the right position and Seevor also in arc and not in a bad position himself. Plus not having Fearless is a real opportunity cost.

I tried it too, and I agree. Fenn has a hard time getting into good positions if he's trying to stay near Seevor, and missing out on Predator/Fearless when you're not in range 1 of Seevor kinda sucks.
