I’m doing my first organised tournament at my local store tomorrow, but turns out I need to just use the one list all day... I have a few I’ve tried running in 2E, but wanted to know if anyone had feedback on the best one to pick/ suggestions.

Vader (FCS, Hate)

Whisper (Juke, 5th Bro)

Sai (ST-321, Palp)

Versatile and consistent mods, respectable hard to put down

Dont get married to stealth device on 2 agility ships. Its a big waste of points. You are better off just taking the guaranteed hull or shield upgrade.

First list ships are good. Just a few changes

All three are mean end game ships. And all have force to survive a block hopefully.

I like both of those! Annoyingly, I don’t have the Hate card, so that rules that particular upgrade out, but the lists are really interesting looking.

out of curiosity, afterburners on Vader- can his normal ability chain off the back of that boost? If not, doesn’t he have enough actions with his force power?

He can chain off afterburners as long as he aint stressed from a kturn or tallon, etc. Vader gets plenty of actions. I actually stopped flying him with FCS cuz I found I keep spending the lock. Afterburners is fantastic on him though. Dont waste it. Save it for a full mod boost into range 1 kill shot, or save Vader from some huge damage.

You should be able to find a community member from whom to borrow!

If I can borrow that one, I’ll go with that list I think, I feel safer having at least one big tanky ship!

Whisper and rexler want juke, pure sabacc wants shield upgrade. Outmaneuver is to expensive.

I tried the shuttle list, but with a few amendments due to lack of Hate!

didn’t go well, but was good fun to fly- that said not sure I liked the shuttle itself so much in that list as it didn’t get to coordinate a whole lot once the dodging starrted, and it has the amazingly bad turning circle!

For the Inquisitor list, I’d probably hold back a bit to try for sneaky arc dodging. One of the reasons I love the inquisitor is being able to hang back with and getting the bonus attack dice. My spacial positioning is generally fairly good, but I am spectacularly awful at list building! Haha. That said, moving the decloak to the systems phase will take me a bit longer to get used to, I think...

Still, thanks to everyone who helped with suggestions! Definitely a lot of food for thought moving forwards, and had a great time with it!

The lambda is fantastic ship, reinforce is fantastic action. Today I used ogp lambda and between 2 games reinforce stopped around 10 damage.

You reinforce cut damage down Vader off a enemy ships focus.

Dont joust. Come at three different angles. Arc dodge with the one your opponent goes for. Attack with other two. Be defensive, and save your tokens if being shot at unless its putting in tons of damage to spend that focus.

I run whisper, dutchess, vader myself and it is a powerful list. Also have played against a soontir, whisper, vader and it was tough. Just gotta be patient with aces.

Yeah, reinforce is great! I was trying to go for the action economy of Sai and the title so i was focussing on co-ordinating to try and get the most out of the combo. But to be honest, I've had more luck in the past with reinforce and OGP, so maybe the shuttle isn't a total write off, just one for me to rethink. I struggle with the dial for it quite a lot - though I did manage to use the stop ability to keep Fenn Rau pinned at the side of the board for a few turns - so that was fun! Vader seems way more effective as a passenger than the Emperor - but is it better in there, or just in his own Advanced? Is there a good ace support character to stick in there that is a bit cheaper?

I find the change to Decloaking really hard to get my head around in 2E - not sure why, but doing that manoeuvre in the systems phase rather than just before you do the movement seems to break my mind quite so much. I think it's with the Strikers still going directly before the move, and having to announce the decloak a few phases earlier. Still, probably just need a bit more practice getting them around the board!

I quite like Rexler, Pure Sabacc and OGP shuttle with vader... That was pretty neat, but might try that with Vader in his own Tie instead.
