A bit strange honestly. A bunch of stuff on the Squad packs, a little on organized play, Wave 4 announcement article and now nada. There is still 4 Wave 3 new releases to cover (the Z-95 and Striker packs don't have anything new or special in them)… Maybe two articles a week starting next week?

Infiltrator Monday, ARC next Monday, release that Thursday.

Uh, I mean, つ ◕_◕ ༽つ give wave three

Your forgot that we still don't have the articles for the Delta-7 and Vulture droid expansion packs. We only got to see what the squadron packs have for those ships. Haven't seen Anakin's ability yet.

So yeah probably means 15th or 22nd launch date. Maybe we get points on the 13th with the gameplay.

I guess depending on how much you want to read into the wording it could be on the 8th. If you notice for the Legion on it specifically says unreleased minis where the x-wing one just says wave III minis. One could read that as the wave III minis will have been released before the live stream otherwise they would have said unreleased for that one too.

Or it could just be clarification that it won’t include wave 4 content?

That's because Legion doesn't do waves, and they would run out of space really fast listing particular expansions. Keyforge: Age of Ascension is also unreleased.

I'm thinking 22nd. at the earliest.

To be honest, i can wait till 22nd for the wave.

But i would love the point costs now so i can decide how many of which i really need, to order them / feel better about my actual order.

Exactly how I feel, really hoping for points next week

I suspect that is part of why they don’t want points out early. We might buy only that which fits a list we optimally want to try out, rather than “one of each” or bunch up on stuff.

That, and they don’t want Theorycrafters on TTS cracking the new meta before it’s even out.

Right now, the thing holding me back most is not knowing how expensive the Jedi will be. Jedi + n1 fighters sounds fun, but may not be a reasonably good thing. I also really like the Infiltrator, but without knowing points can’t figure out if Infiltrator plus Bulbs is workable or if I have to embrace the swarm, etc.

Currently, I am not buying anything out of Wave 3 or 4. I’d have to commit to a new faction to do so, and I’m just not feeling an obvious “oh I want to fly that” yet.

I could see them maybe combining the previews, but yeah, there's no way they're leaving them out completely.

What did they do for Wave 2?

You waiting to see the Republic Gunship model, @ScummyRebel ?

Maybe the Resistance Y-Wings?

Scum & Seperatist Geonosian Starfighters?

C'mon. You gotta be on these forums for SOME REASON!

I’m on the boards because I really enjoy playing x-wing, and I like to see what’s coming. I have 4 factions fully fleshed out, and it’s just a matter of will those factions get net new (not 1.0 rerelease) content or not. That won’t be the case for wave 3-4.

For the new factions, I’m waiting to see points on the Republic.. if I can fly the Jedi similarly to flying 3 rebel aces (Anakin, Obi, and Mace/Saesee with a few upgrades perhaps?) I would be tempted because I do like the era, I just am not liking the torrents nor the the side arc style (I appreciate its different, but not what I want to fly).

For the CIS, I’d need to see more organic pilots that could be flown more conventionally. I’m not liking the “fly a bunch of droids at range 1 of each other”. Had that pilot ability been a little more loose, say 0-2, I’d probably give them a try since I enjoy my FO mini swarm that can spread out a little. The droids May have been OP though with that range, so who knows....

Yeaaah I think that would probably be OP for them.

These guys aren’t gonna fly like a conventional swarm, is the thing (IMO). Formation? What formation? We’re all just going to charge through the asteroid field for as many extra defense dice as we can, and so long as everyone is at r0-1 of two of his buddies, he should be okay on tokens.

Yeah, in the prequels, the Vultures are usually seen in pairs or trios.

You shouldn't need a massive block formation...just a few separate fire teams.

Well, I do tend to agree that it’d probably be OP at range 2... I did concede that.

I am not quite sold on that strategy though, as the overlap of rocks becomes inevitable and if you land on the rock there’s only so many ways off it safely.

Maybe it works?

Not saying it’ll be easy, but I think it certainly has the potential to be powerful. I’m looking forward to messing with it.
