I'm relatively new to the game, but chose to play resistance as I'm a fan of the way T-70 Xwings look.
I've been playing around with various resistance lists, 3x T70s, Two T70's and Lu'lo, and I decided to try and find a way to get two T70's and two RZ-2 Awings into a single list.
My first attempt included Nien, Lt Bastian, Lu'lo (with homing missiles), and Greer (with homing missiles). My friend who's more experience pointed out that the homing missiles weren't great on the Awings and sure enough he was 100% correct. So what follows is my next iteration:
Nien Nunb — T-70 X-Wing 55
Heroic 1
R5 Astromech 4
Integrated S-Foils 0
Pattern Analyzer 5
Black One 2
Ship Total: 67
Half Points: 34 Threshold: 4
Ello Asty — T-70 X-Wing 56
Heroic 1
Integrated S-Foils 0
Ship Total: 57
Half Points: 29 Threshold: 4
L’ulo L’ampar — RZ-2 A-Wing 38
Heroic 1
Ship Total: 39
Half Points: 20 Threshold: 2
Greer Sonnel — RZ-2 A-Wing 36
Heroic 1
Ship Total: 37
Half Points: 19 Threshold: 2
Total 200/200
In the test games I did with the previous iteration, the best results came by operating the T70's as a loose pair, and a the RZ2 Awings as a tight pair. I tended to try and spread the two formations apart from each other, and flank targets from both sides. I'm still learning how to arc dodge, but it seems like it's possible to arc dodge most of the time. I did notice that the Awings are pretty fragile and they need to be out of enemy arcs more than the tougher T70's.
Overall, I enjoyed having four ships and the associated extra die rolls compared to a triple T70 setup, but this list has no bid of any kind. The R5 Astromech on Nien is probably superfluous and could be dropped, but I wonder if a four point bid is worth losing a little extra survivability.
I look forward to your thoughts and criticisms.
