Let's say there's another ship bumped against the side of your U-wing, and you attempt a stop/pivot 90 but it won't fit because nubs. What happens? Does the rotation fail and you return to your original facing? Do you just kinda place as best you can?

Not explicitly confirmed but I'd say no, any more than you can roll or boost in another direction.

Nubs count for everything on your ship base except for range. They cause an overlap. And much like an overlapped K turn. It fails.

Only bomb/mines nubs count for everything, including range.
