Does anyone think we'll ever get models from that Aftermath trilogy for legion? Norra Wexley? Temmin and Mr. Bones? Jas Emari?
Aftermath Novels as Legion?
I hope not. I was not a fan of that series.
I think that if it happens it won't be for a while
I hope so. I actually enjoyed the characters, if not always the writing style.
Mr. Bones (HUGS ARE VIOLENCE MADE OF MOVE!) and Sinjir Rath Velus were my favourites. Admiral Sloane is fun too, as well as Norra.
At the very least, the empire getting loyalty officers could be interesting if done right.

You and me both. Blah characters, bad plot, meh ending. (Though I'll admit Sloane grew on me) I've not been so disappointed reading a Star Wars book since Dark Nest.
I loved the trilogy. Imperial Loyalty officers though would be very cool. We'll see how much they want to expand into non-film/TV areas.

Yeah, Sloane was pretty cool
No.
I don't think they'll tap out the most popular movies and television stuff before the game gets cancelled. Even if they do, any given book series is statistically unlikely to be among those chosen for model-making.
We got models for the (then very new) Zahn novels back in D6 but that was, in my estimation, only because there was so very little SW stuff for WEG to draw from.

This.
Theres so many units and characters (especially characters) that could be leveraged for Legion. Maybe if they try to maintain this rapid a pace indefinitely they’d run out of stuff but I doubt they’d do that for the long haul. Was always under the impression this fast pace was to get it up and running with choices.
I have no interest in the book characters, unless we are talking some of the old Legends work.
I'd also throw in video games in that mix - because those already have established visual designs.

And for everyone hoping to play this forever like DnD or 40k... Star Wars has a bad history. Its games never last too terribly long, due to licensing issues. Entropy will probably devour Legion before they run out of stuff to make for it.
But who knows, D20 made friggin' everything in its time.

Well to be fair, xwing is doing relatively well (granted, it’s now into 2.0).
In any case, I think I **can** play this forever.... just not with new content. It’s not like the rules reference and all my product at home vaporizes or is recalled by the FFG mothership when they shut it down. My end game is to ultimately build up a loaner force so I can host a game with nothing more than what I have. Whether that loaner force is a mirror match of Imps vs Imps, or I start to dabble in Rebels (or a prequel unannounced) remains to be seen.

Already done..... Rebel atrt, land speeder with a gun on it.... Bossks abilities, I'm sure there is more.
Also those books imo were trash as a series. I actually enjoyed the second book, but the third one was no bueno, and the devolution of the empire into barberism so quickly was unbelievable to me.

Absolutely agree. I felt like that was the mandated end state to justify the First Order, but it felt rushed and unnatural. Even Life Debt, as the best of the trilogy, had Imperial discipline break down so much as to have officers stop practicing personal hygiene.... for some reason. The post-apocalyptic barbarians that stormtroopers turned into getting taken down by kids with 30 minutes of training was beyond ridiculous.

I really wish the galaxy just got invaded by carnivorous giant trilobites or something instead of having a Second Empire called a First Order.

I'd much rather have a second empire that was competent, and a direct successor to Palp's Empire than the incompetent cosplayers with ever more ridiculous designs that are called the First Order.
Maybe one that while it has problems, could fight the New Republic to a standstill, and end up with a shaky peace treaty? Or one that didn't feel the need to change literally everything about their uniforms, symbols, and motivations (except for their crappy fighters, gotta keep those for brand recognition!) while claiming to be all about "restoring" something? Yeah, that would have been nice.
But yes, an intergalactic invasion would have been a great story.
Edited by Alpha17No Vong please!
I tried to read these books but couldn't get half way through the first volume. The only character I liked at all was the repurposed B-1 battledroid and wasn't enough to carry my interest through to the end.
I see no reason for Legion to tap into novels for content.

Hmm, melee attacks with amphistaff(pierce?), thud and razor bugs for ranged attacks (upgrades, obviously), coral slaves as cheap corps cannon fodder, Slayers as SF or Operatives, self healing vehicles.... Lotta possibilities here.
Please no star wars bdsm vong...
