It's not Corran but, a PA daredevil Nien in the T-70 is almost too stupid after a 3t or 4k. He also adds the benefit of pulling off the stress from daredevil anytime you land inside 0-1 if you cant make it with the double action after a red move.

It's been talked about but, 3t into PA 1 daredevil boost then a focus or lock during the action phase allows a BR as well as a banked or hard boost to get inside arc at range 1 to make edge cases proc PA and his ability.

If you map it out you will blow your mind, makes locals ragequit so it's a tourny only list for me.

🤨 Unless Nien ends up with an enemy ship at range 0-1 in his front arc after that boost he's stuck double stressed and without the Focus or Lock from his Perform Action step of the Activation Phase...

I've been running Corran with FCS, R3 and Predator. R3 gives enough options and doesn't necessarily tip off your target, and the double mods of FCS and Predator (when it triggers) can almost guarantee 3-4 hits.

Obviously you don't do it if you can't guarantee it will work.

Great idea I hadn't thought of with Nien. Thank you sincerely for that. I may not be getting part of what you were saying though.

It's my understanding that the Nien you mentioned still can't use the boost action twice in a turn. So if you 3tallon into PA 1 daredevil boost, he can't boost again until the next turn.

Right only one boost.

So you complete a red for PA to activate. Prior to check difficulty execute a boost to catch your prey in range one if needed (usually only if target is at range one in front of you when you activate, otherwise a focus linked BR works) then loose both stress. Also works when the target is about range 2 or 3 at the 10 or 2 o'clock positions.

Honestly I find it better for non 3t/4k moves when a bank or 2 turn isnt enough of a turn to catch a target in arc. Adds a ton of options for whenever people start trying to avoid or block the talon roll.

I mean I've run Corran like that and I do like R3 FCS and Ewings comboing together but I just find that his survivability is higher when he has options to run away and re approach.

I'm super against adv sen daredevil for the reason that it leaves the E-wing tokenless. It's fine with a co-ordinate buddy. I ran it quite a bit to try it out in the early days of 2.0 because it seemed like a fun trick to make him super maneuverable. R4 could be the best mech on him because of how open his dial becomes.

Personally I've become a bigger fan of 3 Juke/FCS/R3 or R4 Rogue Escorts. I also still like R2 astro on Corran as it synergies well with the double tap. but I need to run a coordinate boat near Corran to make it worth it.

Sure. I'll definitely have to try ASCorran. I've ran him with R2 before, which helps his survivability obviously and syncs well with his ability, but often felt like it wasn't enough offense.

Just thought I’d say thanks. I feel like E-Wings might actually be one of the ships I can perform the best with, right now? So I’m going to be playing around with Corran some in preparation for Adepticon and this has been good reading.

One of the reasons I like the thought of AdvS on Corran is that he's generally going to be fine on a single action. The linked Lock is good sometimes, but often not that important. It's not like Advanced Sensors on Vader, where he really wants to chain actions, or even a B-Wing, where 1e AdvS would be utterly amazing.

The thing I find is that most of the time the Ewing would be tokenless anyway if they use the boost and the daredevil boost with advanced sensors gives them more options to get away or adjust their approach while still possibly keeping the stress off.
Obviously using Daredevil boost everytime would be a pretty poor strategy

It's a niche card, to put it most accurately. With advanced sensors, it can make non-Kylo's a little more Kylo. A Corran that moves last of the I5's can dial in a hard 2 and have an assload of options with R4. He could Daredevil in the opposite direction of his turn to have an epic flank whilst keeping his facing. He could also swing his facing 180 ° like a gunboat. The non-Daredevil boosts add to the flexibility.

Daredevil also helps keep Fenn from having his R1 options being dodged.

Yes, yes, it all sounds really nice. That's why I put it on the table, repeatedly, trying to make use of it. It just doesn't work in practise.

Put Leia somewhere in the Squad, DD AdS the boost and then do a 3Sloop 😜
