I assume that Gavin’s ability works on his own attacks as well, but wanted to make sure. Played it this way last night, and kept feeling like I was playing it wrong. Thanks!
Yep. It only cares about the position of the defender relative to your arc, not the attacker, and doesn't say 'another friendly' so it works on him.

Thanks! That is what I thought, but kept questioning myself when I was able to turn Hit-focus-blank into hit-crit-crit using FCS, focus, Marksmanship and Gavin.
I ran a Gavin team against a Selfless swarm the other day... such a pain that I couldn't pump crits into the enemy ships, without them being diverted away to other vessels...!

Saw Guerera + Selfless + Leia, Biggs, 2x Gold Squad Y-Wings + Ion Turret + Prox Mines. No matter what I did, he kept shoveling the damage off to where it was least threatening.

I could mostly deal with the Prox mines, and therefore ground out a victory on time... I think things would have gone MUCH worse for me if he'd brought Veteran Turret Gunners instead.
