Trajectory simulator (1e!!!)

By LTuser, in X-Wing

OK. So the Trajectory Simulator "system" upgrade allows a ship that carries bombs to use the '5 range movement template' to launch the bombs out in front of him. BUT the only rebel ships i see getting a system slot, are the E-wing (not a rebel ship and doesn't carry bombs), the B-wing (Doesn't carry bombs), The resistance bomber (not a rebel ship), and the U-wing (also doesn't get bombs).

So is that system upgrade, mostly an imperial thing? If not, is there a way a B-wing can carry bombs? Is there any upgrade/crew/other thing a Y-wing could do to gain a system slot to Get the trajectory simulator?

The only rebel ships that could use it were ones using Sabine crew to get the bomb slot. They don't otherwise have a ship that has both slots natively.

This is a 1st edition gameplay question right? If so the Resistance Bomber can be used in Rebel builds in 1st edition so that is a choice, Rebel Nym is another, and I think Ghost with Sabine Crew is an option as well?

Or b-wings with Sabine crew. Was standard issue in the Firestorm Special

So i guess, for a HOTAC game, i'd need to switch ship from a Y (OR x-wing) to a B-wing have the E2 mod (gives a crew slot), then get the Traj sim system, Then some bombs.. seems like a bit much...

Oh, we're talking HOTAC. This makes more sense now.

As it was a fan made play mode, the base game never made allowances for HOTAC. You'll probably find a few setups that won't work on it.
