What do you guys use to varnish the chrome without losing the chrome. Aardcoat? but I find Aardcoat still keeps that sticky paint feeling.

I usually do a final coat of Mr. Hobby Semi-gloss spray but I know that will dull the chrome. But it gives the perfect touch feel as a factory model.

It currently looks just as good as when I put it on, but I've only flown the model once since and I haven't handled it much beyond what was necessary.
I would bet it holds up pretty well if you don't touch the chromed parts.

Amazon reviews do mention it can dull up if you do though

Would something like GW's 'Ardcoat in combination with the chrome marker get that metallic sheen?

Here, my naboo starfighter with some really sketched out NMM. This was about 2.5 hrs time.

I guess this counts as a re-paint too.

For some reason, I thought this exclusive was a steel model that was supposed to come unpainted like this so that people could paint on top or something.
