Debris dealers (Han and Jabba) - two variants

I was inspired by a Gold Squadron Podcast list review, where there was a list of Han, Bobba and Jabba utilizing Rigged cargo Chute. I was listening to the podcast and the crew haven't read out the exact list, so I was tempted to give it a shot by myself. i have two variants, one with Bobba and one with Koshka (!).

The idea behind both of them is the same. I use Debris Clouds to set up: Trick Shots, Han's ability and stress. Tobias Beckett helps with board set up, Seismics are a safety valve and another control option. Jabba gives 4 additional Clouds :)

Escape Craft coordinates Cloud dumps to free up actions on both ships.

The differences are mostly on the Firespray. Variant 1 has Bobba who is an outstanding pilot. I woul dgladly fit Marauder there but I don't have 6 points to spare... so I brought Slave 1 to have more flexibility. Variant 2 have Koshka, who can leverage stress more than Bobba and is way cheaper. This allow to beef up this Firespray more and but a more expensive gunner on Han. I'm torn between both variants as Bobba is a stronger pilot, but his ability works within range 1, which can be tough to achieve with all these clouds lying around. Koshka is dependent on stress, which is easier to achieve in this setup. Additionally Koshka can afford Marauder which is handy given the way the list wants to fly.

High level strategies of flying:

  1. Coordinate to drop debris cloud
  2. Quickly do 4K's on both ships to basically allow to be chased and shoot from backs.
  3. Leverage terrain as much as possible

Which Variant is better? How to improve them?

Get Maul on Boba, its very similar to Han gunner. Eaven better in some aspects, since you dont get stressed as much.

This would mean getting rid of all upgrades on Bobba, which is somewhat limiting, especially giving up on the second Rigged Cargo Chute.

If not going with Bobba ship, then Bobba Crew is a great option for placing your first debrie AND counter 3xupsilon

Nicely done+1. I've missed an option to sacrifice Trick Shot and Tactical Officer. I'm not quite sure if it is worth it though. Instead of Maul, Marauder+BT-2 looks ok and I still have points for both upgrades that were cut.

Hotshot Gunner is underrated. On Initiative 6 ship it becomes really annoying. Switching to Boba Crew is a neat trick. I can afford upgrading Tobias to him for sure.

This makes me thinking which version is better? Or maybe I should consider other Firespray pilot?

Personal reference id say :)

But Maul+Bobba is the same leauge as marauder/Han.

Regarding xtra dmg vs stress - With leia at 2pt a majority of rebels will be less stressed. Wich lessens the worth of stress imo (we have alot of rebellplayers here though ).

Scum lacks linked actions in general.

Soontir and Fenn will be played less with more Vader in the field.

So its my belif that its hardly worth investing in stressmechanics such as BT-1 for example.

The two new factions moves tokens around alot, wich will lessen the worth of Hotshot in a month or two.

Wich makes this list rely on Han shooting trickshots and Bobba modding dice in knifefights.

Its propably worth dropping Jabba and only have 2 cargoshute in the list. To few modded shots with 6 cargo in the list.

Wich leaves it to playtesting!

There is one main difference. Marauder gives also rerollls when shooting from the back.

Regarding stress, I'm not relaying on the opponent, debris clouds should provide at least some stress. I see Your point though that it is a bigger gimmick than shooting through obstacles.

I also consider 0-0-0 on Bobba as it could give a tough choice to make., but You almost sold me on Maul:)

I don't want to get rid of Jabba because this is the soul of this list:) However for Hyperspace I would need to ditch him (and Maul).

I would work with list 1. Lose Seismics and trade Beckett for 0-0-0 for either more mods on Boba or more dice for Han

I was doing jabba lists early with 4lom+Adsense+Qira and hwk.

You just reminded me of the fun :) with the priceincrease on Trajectory, objects propably stats a bit longer on the field!
