Hi not sure if anyone here ventures on the site but there are some truely wonderful artists creating 40K images.......

Highly recomended - also the artists tend to be extermely generous in allowing use of their images for non profit supplements etc - although I really don't know why many of them are not used in "proper" books.

for instance they kindly allowed me to use images in this Babylon 5 Supplement with just relevant credits http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/gregsmith/Darkness%20Rising.pdf (it may not be of that much interest but again does highlight the images that are available :0 its quite a large document though 9 or so MB)

Ikkan I'd say, yes. In the vain of givng players handouts and the like. (And players love to look at things, don't we?)

Just be wary of giving out too much information, even in maps. (Which isn't the case with your first go). Don't let them expect to get sattelite reconissance for most places, and on a similar vain, some reports might go along with or without it if applicable.

Er, but anyways, yeah I'd keep working on some. Especially if you can get them on any type of terrain needed (swamps, ruins of cities, Habs.) Course I don't envy the artist who works on those. Heaps of work, but mate well worh it.

Oh and for the OP, love those ships that Obiwan did. Can he do rogue trader ships and chartist vessles by any chance?

Well, for the first go, the mysterious ground defense isn´t labeled extensively, yes. Players may or may not recognize the necron pylon. But in the end it doesn´t really matter when the task is to rescue tau diplomats or whatever. Hilarity will ensue :-)

Guess its not very useful as such places don´t exist in the calixis sector and secondly it wouldn´t be a a job for inquisitorial acolytes...but the galaxy is big, and its easy to hide just one city.

My idea was some type of infiltration mission, with covert insertion via smuggling on the planet and entering the city by foot like all the tortured souls that really believe the new rulers will change their life for the better. Would be a way for the GM to raise the violence/maturity rating for a few sessions.
