Pelta Class Frigate

Hi,

Does anyone know if there are any official stats for the Pelta Class?

If not, what sort of Silhouette do think it would be.... similar to the Nebulon B maybe or more like a large CR90 Corvette?

No stats exist for this yet... all frigates so far are silhouette 5 and 6 though... hope this helps

I might put it at Sil 6, with a retro fitted hanger bay. Iโ€™m looking at it for a group of pirates I want to introduce.

apparently retrofitted it can fit at least 5 A-Wings, it also (retrofitted) has point defense lasers and turbolasers, dont know how many it would have but im guessing not many

I'd say use the Neb-B as your starting baseplate. The Pelta is a similar size and has similar armaments listed, so taking a NEb-B and modifying those number ot fit the Pelta makes ample sense. The Pelta seems like more of a support ship though, so all around it's probably less than an Neb-B. In the Clone Wars they are hospital/transport ships, and Rebels makes it a light pseudo-command carrier.

So Vader tore one up with nothing but his awesomeness and a TIE x1, so I'm thinking that Armor 6 is probably OK if you say that Vader accomplished that feat by just using his high rolls to Crit-kill the ship (which would make ample sense). The Pelta is an older ship and not really a frontline combat ship as is, so drop the Shields to 2/1/1/2 and the Hull/Strain by say... 5ish points. As more of an armed transport than a warship give it high Enc with a note that medical tended to have a high Passenger number instead. Weapons are kinda best-guess... say a pair of double light laser cannons forward/left and right and one aft?

An option that might get you to where you want to go is to add custom Attachments like the modular fighter in Special Mods. Similar to the Littoral combat ship concept you could give the Pelta a set of pre-configured refit options. So like a Cargo refit, a passenger/trooper carrier refit, and a medical refit that take like 2-4 HP each if installed.

Then you give the ship say.... 6ish hardpoints.

That would cover your bases, as you'd have an explanation as to why it wasn't a great warship, but it would also meet the requirements of Rebels and your Pirates by having the HP to take on a pair of double light Turbolasers and a small hanger...
