Dual Lancer list

By SleepyBantha, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Played this list over the weekend and liked it but I’m wondering if it could be better. Anyone have thoughts or suggestions?

Sabine Wren (Scum) — Lancer-class Pursuit Craft 64
Maul 11
Shield Upgrade 6
Ship Total: 81
Half Points: 41 Threshold: 6
Asajj Ventress — Lancer-class Pursuit Craft 76
Hate 3
L3-37 4
Shield Upgrade 6
Ship Total: 89
Half Points: 45 Threshold: 6
Captain Seevor — Mining Guild TIE Fighter 30
Ship Total: 30
Half Points: 15 Threshold: 2

Funny, that looks very similar to a 2x Lancer list I made (but can't fly, don't have a second Lancer yet), including the Seevor wingmate. Only thing I can think of is maybe downgrading the Shield Upgrades to Hull Upgrades to give Seevor Trick Shot, but that's it.

nice. i have all of these ships. looks like a fun squad.

L3-37 is for defense purposes? its probably the best crew available for 4pts or less right now, esp since 0-0-0 now costs 5.

2 big ships is challenging to fly. long gone are the ol 360 turret days. id be intersting to see how competitive this list is. it seems like it might be durable, fast and fairly resistant to ion cannon turret which is having somewhat of a resurgence.

another option here might be to swap Seevor for an escape shuttle. Seevor is optimal when he shoots before your other ships but is just generally annoying being able to strip actions for his own attack eh?

His and Sabines' attacks, they're both I3. But yeah, Asajj doesn't benefit from the jam.

ah, ok. thats still decent, will let Asajj roam for a diff target and Sabine+Seevor can double team the same ship.

Can Asajj take Hate without having Maul onboard?

What about the title on Asajj to soften up for the other two ships?

Played lancer with title yesterday and i think it is really useful

I could see them swapping the shield upgrade on her out for the title (same cost) and the agility reduction from the tractor token on a focused fired target would probably be a big help for them. I'm tempted to suggest switching L3-37 out for IG-88D if they haven't run into allot of stress dealers (4-L0M Pilot, Phasma Crew, etc.) in their local games. The extra speed 1 and 2 blue banks aren't that big of a help for a Lancer after her forced reroll if stress isn't popping up that often.

I think, even in 2.0 the title is best on Ketsu

šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø All the builders let you

Here is my version, I think you still need Latts on Asajj and perceptive matches well with Sabine:

New Squadron

(76) Asajj Ventress
(7) Latts Razzi
(3) Hate
(6) Shield Upgrade
Points 92

(64) Sabine Wren
(8) Perceptive Copilot
(6) Shield Upgrade
Points 78

(30) Captain Seevor
Points 30

Total points: 200

(76) Asajj Ventress
(3) Hate
(7) Latts Razzi
(6) Shield Upgrade
Points 92

(64) Sabine Wren
(8) Perceptive Copilot
(3) Fearless
Points 75

(29) Lando Calrissian
(2) Tactical Officer
(1) Composure
Points 32

Total points: 199

Quick build I just made. Asajj is self explanatory with hate and latts. Shield upgrade could go on either Asajj or Sabine. Sabine with Co pilot as chances are she will roll a focus aswell as the added token (insted of Ig88d) Fearless as you will be focusing so no TL and will help in offence. Due to your super defence and lack of barrel roll/boost (for arc dodging) not ignoring 5 forward on a large base you will get r1 and might as well have a face to face. I chose Lando so he can move last and be behind asajj and Sabin. He is there for coordinating. Composure incase they are out of r2.

Might I suggest the following?

Asajj (Hate)

Ketsu (Fearless, 0-0-0, Shadowcaster)

Seevor (Trick Shot)

With both plentiful stress and tractor control, and Seevor's wonderfully consistent jamming, these guys crush an opponent with both negative effects and more than reasonably modified attacks

Big flaw, they have to shoot Seevor while the other two are up for his ability to have a useful effect, with him being a 2 red/3 green he can be ignored until he's all that is left with minimal issue. If you're banking on his attack providing the token strip for the others to build off of, it really won't. His token from attacking outside of the target ship's bullseye only benefits him (exempting the odd unspent lock) in the list you present due to him being Init 3 (with no way in the list to enable him to fire before anyone else in his squad) and Jam Tokens not hanging around past the end phase (all round tokens are removed End Phase, and Jam Tokens are round orange tokens).

Nah, I'm banking on him always having an attack at the end of the round against reduced agility and no tokens!

He's just an efficient filler

Trick Shot Ahhav would be a tempting change if your opponents burn their tokens trying to stop a full proc of Ketsu+Shadowcaster.

Very true!
