An LCG-only deck concept

By pp_lord, in Call of Cthulhu Deck Construction

Greetings Folks!

First of all, sorry for my bad english, life is hard here in Eastern-Europe gui%C3%B1o.gif The core idea of the following deck came into my mind during a boring civil law workshop at the university. Enough of the chatting, here it comes:

Agency:

Price Manor x3
Flood Lights x3
Shotgun Blast x3
Small Price to Pay x3
Toch the Joint! x3
Repo Man x3
Undercover Sercurity x3

Syndicate:

Low Blow x3
Like a Moth x2
False Papers x3
Richard Finchington III x3
Tear Gas x3
Clover Club Torch Singer x3
Patsy x3
Clover Club Bouncer x3

Neutral:

The Day Dreamer x3
Unknown Kadath x3

The skill reductions with an impressive amount of "kill spells" let us to stall against rush decks (hopefully), while the recursion of the Papers and Dreamers provides you a constant destroy effect, thus a huge card advantage over the course of the game. I have revealed two problems (I'm sure you will find more, feel free to inform me): sometimes the "combo pieces" got stuck at the bottom of the deck, and generally there is no way to find the missing pieces during the game (relying on sheer luck is unsatisfactory for me). The other proble is these two cards: Like a Moth and Flood Ligths. I always resource these, so will you be so kind to suggest me other cards to replece them. Thanks a lot!

If I were you, I would consider including Hard Case (exhausting is nice) and I would Leave the False Paper ... They are way too situationnal to replace something that might shoot the opponent Characters.

Like a most is costy, so, I'd rather suggest you a Shotgun to play or a character that might be a nice inclusion : Extorsionnist ...

The main idea of this deck is to use False Papers on the opponent characters and support cards, give them the Night subtype and then use the Dream Wanderer to destroy them. Price Manor recycles the Papers and Kadath recycles the Wanderer. I would definetaly use Hard Case in a rush deck, but this is not that kind. This also apply to the Exortionist, especially that I use two resources on my domains only. The shotgun is a good call, a permanent wounding is always helpfull.

Is "Night" a subtype or a keyword?

Hmm. Maybe it was different in the CCG days, but Night appears to be a keyword in the LCG. I cannot find a single card that includes "Night" listed as a subtype.

For example: Ancient One. Night. Or: Location. Night.

It always appears bolded in the text box, which indicates a keyword, and False Papers can only be used to give subtypes that exist on tournament legal cards (according to the FAQ).

Please correct me if I'm wrong. Your deck concept is otherwise intriguing.

Yes, this kind of combo (Ah, you're night. Ah, it's day. Ah, you're dead) doesn't work anymore: Day and Night aren't subtypes anymore, they're keywords.

Beside, even if they were, you couldn't destroy any support: False Paper only works on Characters.

Ok, well I did'nt notice the attempt of Combo !! Sorry about that !

The problem being the difference between Subtype/keyword, you'd rather consider reinforcing the skil/exhaustion or skill/wounds aspect, but that's only my opinion ...
