Are the SW narrative dice fully interchangeable with the Genesys dice (same distribution of symbols even if the symbols look slightly different)?
Same as above but for the dice roller app.
I certainly don't want to have to buy new dice for Genesys.

Yep. The dice should be interchangeable

Yes, you still have to learn the new symbols reading the book, but the results options tables are the same format as SW so they're a good teacher.

That part doesn't bother me so long as the dice are interchangeable. I just don't feel like buying more dice to try out Android.

I played my modified version of Chris Witt's Forgotten on the weekend. It was transformed to a Shadowrun setting. The players all used SW dice as we have about 8 sets of those between us, and only 2 sets of Genesys dice.
It was just easier on the brain to use SW dice as they are the symbols the experienced payers (and me as the GM) were all used to.
Edited by AndreievitchI've been using my Star Wars dice for all my Genesys games. They're completely interchangable.
I do recall hearing from an official source that they are in fact mapped the same as SWRPG dice, meaning that the placement of symbols is the same, it's just the Genesys symbols vs the Star Wars ones. So probabilities won't be skewed using one set of dice or the other. So not only can they be used, they are functionally equivalent. I have sets of both if we truly want a de facto comparison.
One of my players uses both SW and Genesys dice together at the same time.

Same here once you get over the initial brain melt its fine 😁 i do try an encourage them not to mix the dice just makes it easier to read when they either one or the other.

I’ve found that I like the colors of the Genesys dice slightly better (a little brighter) so I use those as much as possible, however, I currently only have one set so the SW dice get mixed in a lot.
