What is the sweet spot for Snow and Storm Troopers in a list?

By Cubanboy, in Star Wars: Legion

Question for you crazy imp players,

I heard that running 4 stormtroopers with 2 sets of snowtroopers is a sweet spot to be in. If you heart is content on running 6 cores in a list, what have people found success with?

Usually a good ratio to follow is 2 storms to 1 snow. However this varies by list and local meta.

I don't really run Snowtroopers outside of a snowtrooper specific list. Yes, they're good and at close range can be deadly, but that's doesn't really fit my playstyle, and I'd rather just have more Stormtroopers.

As a rebel player, don't run just one set of snowtroopers. It's easy to focus down a single corp unit. Snowtroopers are at their best when they're melting my corp units, but inferior to stormtroopers when needing to hold certain objectives. 2 storms to 1 snow seems to be the way to go when running max corp

2 + 4

I like 2 snowies just to make it harder to focus Fire them down before the flametrooper gets to work. Otherwise, full Stormtroopers....

None; different environments require different gear... XD

I play either 3 storm 1 snow or 3 storm 2 snow, depending on what else is in my list. Mostly because that’s all I own in corps units 😛

No sweet spot persay. Ive seen list with 6 snows do really well. I see 2 most of the time in the local games. If i see 0 i see an atst.

It depends on play style and terrain really. Personally I liked the 2 snow to 4 storm dlt ratio. In my current build, however, I'm running 1 officer snow and 5 dlt squads and seem to be liking that. Standard stormtroopers are for the sit back and shoot play, while the snows play a lot more aggressively and want to take as little fire as possible as they march towards the enemy. For snows it really is heavily dependent on the terrain and same goes for the stormies. More line of sight blockers- take more snows. More openness- take more storms. If your local meta/ stores are one way or the other with terrain, take more of the corresponding unit

Snowtroopers never really took off around my area. I'd prefer there to be more of them- my speeder would be safer and I wouldn't have to look at quite so many stormtrooper sergeants reaching out for a firm handshake.

When I do run Snowtroopers, it tends to be in a list with lots of troopers. two snows and four storms worked pretty well for me last time. When trying to really use coordinated fire, they are nice to have since you can still aim/move/shoot when you need to squeeze in some more aim tokens.

Pointing with your finger is rude, pointing with your hand is not. Just ask an Army drill sergeant and he'd be more than happy to show you the difference...

If you're going to burn down homesteads and enslave people it's only right and proper that you do it politely I suppose.

Unless you're a snowtrooper. Their sergeant is clearly pointing with a single digit.

Maybe that's why they haven't become popular around here...

5 snowtroopers. Or 3 stormtroopers. Winning is not zen.
