I've scattered the internet forums for quite some time now on all things related to miniatures and I've come to the conclusion of one thing...do these companies really listen or read what we have to say??? For example...I like both Star Wars Imperial Assault & Legion but prefer legion more...just so much more to them now and I hope this line continues for a long time. But here's where my brain rattles around in my head for awhile...they came out with the snowspeeder but not the x-wing? They made Han & Leia in Endor outfits but no Ewoks? They made snowtroopers, E-Web, Hoth General Veers but no Wampa or Tauntauns? Then they jump over to Rogue One w/ Jyn Erso & Krennic (which is fine but why now?) and they have Boba Fett but no other Bounty Hunters? Again these are observations and I'm sure most of you have had them already but come on...No C-3PO or R2D2 yet? I hope they realize that yes...we will throw our money at them blindly but I would like them to add miniatures we would really like to see and have. I mean Lando in Imperial Assault but no Lobot, no Yoda not even Mace Windu...I mean seriously...who doesn't want to paint a purple lightsaber!!!! Again, these are just my thoughts and I wanted to get them out there...thanks for reading

I don't think this goes in the Army Building section.

I think that a lot of the release schedule winds up being beyond their best laid plans. Such as in "A freelancer is sculpting the ewoks and he's sick, missed his deadline, pretty soon he has to leave the country for another job for a few months and doesn't know if or when he'll get them to us. Sarah finished sculpting all the Wookies ahead of schedule though, so I guess we will move those up."

X-Wings are beyond the scope of the game and should never be expected.

This game has barely been around a year. Considering that fact, the size and scope of the miniatures line is doing fine.

And no I don't think they really trawl the internet to get informal customer feedback to make release plans.

I hate movie characters, the more powerful onscreen, the less I like them in my wargames/RPG's. They have finite sculpting and casting resources. So to capture everyone's attention and money, for every few Obi-Wans or Emporers they made, they had to release one Echo Base Troopers. Pretty soon there's no room left for everything. Imperial Assault was a boardgame with it's own limitations, which would lead to picking and choosing which heroes are going to work and which ones aren't. Sorry Yoda

Way back in the day, the only real Bespin minis you could get were Lando and Lobot. By comparison, Lando with his guards and workers is much more useful for a miniatures game, so this is an instance where FFG's choice of sculpts outdid Grenadier's. Course D20 gave us Lando, Lobot, guards, cloud car pilots, ugnaught workers... a real dream team for Bespin. But I digress.

Thanks TauntaunScout for the input...I know this is much like a "Christmas Wish List" to Santa but as a mini lover since 1984 I'm grip onto the hope for things a want more than I expect. I'm super excited for the releases to come this year and wait somewhat patiently...somewhat pulling my hair out. Lol

Eh, X-Wings don't fit nearly as well as a ground attack aircraft as the Air speeder, so no complaints on that, nor on them bring Rogue One stuff in before Ewoks, Tauntauns, or Wampas. Heck, I'd much rather see Gungans than ever see anything like Wampas or Rancors. Thus far, my only "complaint" on what FFG has brought in has been the Emperor, but that's a really minor issue of a head of state being in a platoon-sized gunfight.

I don't exactly know what you want. You seem to want them to release every single possible model all at once? Also some of those are wildly inappropriate for Legion (X-Wings are huge and don't fit at this scale of combat and I don't even know how Wampas would work unless they were some sort of scenario piece). The game has been out for less than a year, for ****'s sake. Honestly, this post is so bizarre and nonsensical (Mace Windu in Imperial Assault? For which of the 3 factions in that game?) that I hesitated to actually reply to it.

Well Arnoldrew...thanks for the insight but I'm not into game play with these miniatures...only for painting purposes. And yes, as a consumer my opinion should count for something since I (we) pay for this stuff to be made. Again, this was just an out loud discussion of random thoughts and for you to take it to such a serious level...maybe you need to slow down on your game play, take a deep breath, meditate or something...just WOW!!!

And to actually state you hesitated to reply to my thread...your a grown up I'm assuming...you don't hesitate, you either want to or not it's just that simple!
