Afterburners and Asteroids

Can Vader (or Poe) fly over a rock, trigger afterburners, then chain an action after the boost even thought they lost their normal action from the rock?

Flying over an asteroid only forces you to skip your Perform Action Step . To that end, as long as he moved fast enough, he may indeed perform Afterburners, then (assuming he's not stressed) use his pilot ability to perform an additional action. Note that it doesn't even matter if he landed on the rock; as long as the boost maneuver template doesn't overlap the asteroid, he can still perform the boost.

yes. you simply have to spend a charge from afterburners, then you can use vaders or poes pilot ability to perform other actions, or another action in poes case.

Just to check,

Afterburners are used after the check difficulty step, right?

This means that if Vader gets through debris, he can boost, but won't be able to use his abbility because he's stressed.

Can you guys confirm it? (After a few weeks of hard study my brain is a bit tired)

Correct. The actions his ability allows aren't excluded from the not stressed limitation.

It is worth noting, though. Being able to hit reheat to get off a rock and be able to shoot is a good option, even if you'll be rolling unmodified dice.
