I get people are frustrated but negative posts, demands for FFG 2.0 or an apology aren't going to grow the game. That's almost as off putting as constant new releases that make what you just bought useless. It's January 31st, FFG just went through the busy retail season, launched Legion, X-Wing 2, and a host of other new stuff. They just changed a bunch of staff and are working on the largest model the companies ever attempted and its not Legions unannounced AT-AT. We don't want the SSD model out before its ready and for all we know they are having production and distribution issues. Diverting people to write articles might delay the release date.
FFG doesn't own Star Wars, Lucasfilm does and may have ordered a hold as part of a broader strategy. Master Yoda taught us patience, don't expect anything until Star Wars Celebration Chicago in April, May 4th, the big gaming conventions, or even the return of Clone Wars. I used to play Flames of War, which has tons of news but little stock and is locally dead and buried. Don't declare Armada dead until everything is out of stock and nothing is scheduled for reprint.
So, on a more positive note, what is swm28?
- Rebel Epic ship
- Clone era core set
- gunboats
- new campaign
- Space Ball 1
- Death Star
- 6mm pocket version
- Space Worms and purgils
- Ed's ADHD brain missed something checking product codes
Would it grow Armada if we had a campaign linking it to Legion and/or X-Wing?
