Mining Guild Swarm: yup the other TIE swarm.

Seems stout if not unpredictable with the Maneuvering capabilities.

get rid of Seevor

Add Drea in the Y-wing

Drea is the same ability as Howlrunner, on a more durable platform, and without the range requirement.

You can fit 6 ties with Drea...and 14 points for upgrades(I would suggest a turret to have multiple arcs)

losing 1 ship hurts, but potentially having all or majority of your ships gain a reroll provides more damage than 1 extra tie.

While I understand the suggestion two issues arise.

1: Drea’s isn’t Hyperspace legal and looking at this as a wild card List for an upcoming system open.

2: Not a scum player so don’t have the conversion Kit so currently no Drea. Yes, I could likely borrow him but then it goes back to 1.

I did not realize you were going for a hyperspace list.

I assumed anyone willing to buy 8 mining ties had plenty of scum ships as it is a bit heavy of an investment in the same ship.

I would recommend more variety for a new collection/faction, especially since while they are good, they aren’t anything amazing.

At the end of the day you are sitting behind 3 hull, and inevitably the dice gods will doom you.

I would say without Drea, imperial swarm is better.

I have had luck with Howlrunner swarms, and even just a spam of initiative 4 and 5 named imperial tie pilots(no Howlrunner)

The problem your list has is lack of reliability for your damage, imperial tie have a lot of named pilots who can get firepower 3 one way or another. And Howlrunner +generics is similar to having 3 dice attacks.

All I could think of for Mining Ties is taking the elite pilot and giving them trickshot, and try to hug terrain for the match.

Overall though swarms really want buffs you can affect multiple ships with to make up for their lower dice per attack.

Partly my fault here. As far as the investment I have tons in store credit from my local League victory, so might cost me like 2 TIEs actually.

Very familiar with Imperial swarms as are a number of folks. F/O swarms are different animals due to the dial and shields they have.

These TIE m/g’s as I’ll call them are a bit different as well. So trying to see if that different is enough unpredictable unexpected to be worthwhile.
