I will be finishing up my current Star Wars campaign and have been planning my next. The PC's will start as young (Mid-teen's) Padawan's and maybe a Clone or two, during the height of the Clone Wars. I will most likely run a few adventures, shine the Republic and their life in a golden light, show them how awesome their Master's are.... then issue Order 66... Mwhahahhhahahaa... They will have to escape with their lives into the mid/outer rim. I will then have a time hop to them as adults trying to hide as force users living on the Edge of the Empire.
Anyone ever run anything similiar? I was going to start right with Order 66, but with Rise of the Separatists coming out I want to have a few adventures during the clone wars.
Next Campaign
I am currently GMing a short adventure about surviving order 66. I found it quite hard to make it a real shock, as my players were clearly expecting it (my lack of experience for describing such situations and creating an athmosphere didn't help me either).
I had them first investigate on a separatist network that exfiltrates ennemies of the republic out of coruscant, spies and soldiers who crashed after the battle of Coruscant. After the players succeed in this task, the Order 66 is given, and their new prisonners become their only hope to escape .
Edited by AbsatSoloI'm currently running a Clone Wars campaign, with the goal for the game to eventually reach Order 66, then run a mini-campaign as an epilogue, following the stories of the survivors. Granted, that's about a year out, if not longer, due to the relatively slow pace the game is going. I currently only get to GM my Star Wars campaign once a month, sadly.
