Asterisk? Why? This is going to happen twice a year now, lists changing in legality.

Quad phantoms lose one Juke. It doesn't impacted it a ton.

If every points change invalidates previous wins, how many winners won't have an asterisk? Everyone on the list won under the points as implemented at the time. No asterisk necessary.

I mean my Lambda lists I’m throwing it in. May never use it, but you can never quite be sure…

I think the Phantoms (and Defenders) are happier about Palob getting priced out.

I’m not a fan of any upgrade (beyond configs) being zero points so it gets included on everything. Since it’ll be on everything, however, it might see some use. The jam action is helpful vs. ordinance carriers. Maybe in a swarm like you say the beam could find a niche.

Asterisk nothing. Those folks earned that that win. Being top 8 of 200+ is a huge deal. And the list was legal at the time of event so who cares what got recosted. The only “asterisk” that ever existed in xwing was the world where we didn’t have clear ruling on the 1.0 tragedy simulator and genius interaction. And that was just because we didn’t have solid rules, not because they didn’t earn it.

I generally agree. But jamming beam is _terrible_. It was points, sacrificing an attack, and to get any value required being on, or near, the highest initiate ship in your list. Which is usually your end game piece, or heavy hitter.

And it was range 2 only, for some reason.

So it was truly garbage. It would have utility, at most, every few games. Edge case scenarios only.

At free it is worth taking a flyer on for those rare situations. Not super impactful, but for the one time every 4-5 games, maybe worth it.

It also makes ISB slicer moderately useful.

No, zero points is about it’s value. At one point I likely never equip it, except maybe on the IGs.

I was thinking to replace one Phantom with Captain Feroph. He is exactly 47 pts, and has some synergy.
