Help me spend 19 pts on a BBAX Ace Rebel List 😎

Long story short, I want to field some B's Ace with J. Farrell and Wedge (I thought of Luke but he leaves less room for upgrades).


Ten Numb 46 pts.

Braylem Stramm 47 pts.

Jake Farrell 37 pts.

Wedge A. 52 pts.


That is the bare chasis, so I was thinking to add:


Ten - - - - > Predator 2 pts.

Braylem - > Advance S 10 pts. / CS 1 pt.

Jake - - - - > Elusive 3 pts. / CS 1 pt.

Wedge - - > Predator 2 pts.

Wedge can be downgrade so I can get more room for upgrades on the Bs, but I like to field 4 Rebels ships. Anyways what are the best upgrades for Bs to make them scary and stronger is the real question.

Ignore Dutch if you really want to run Braylen, but my suggestion would be to swap the two out. Dutch will help out Ten Numb on the opening and gets those sweet double taps.

@Greebwahn Thanks for the reply!! I really want to try 2Bs, I know that they can joust 2 or 3 times max, but I want to get a feel of them, specially now that are cheap so I can come up with a good rebel list for upcoming tourneys on my area 😉

First of all, I feel the same about Dutch (His economy action is awesome) and can be a great support specially now that it can be loaded up since the points drop, but as mention above I really want to see B's potencial so I can maybe include one of them (probably Ten) in a future Rebel list. But will tryout your suggestion as soon as I fly once the original list with your load out 😏

I would like to ask, what is the purpose of R4 Astromech on Wedge when he has only 2 arrows with 2 sharp turn? Cause I can see the strong improvement on the Y-wing, maybe I am missing something.

I always run Wedge with at least an R4, it only affects the 2 hards, but having that option after a Talon Roll or Focus -> Boost has been crucial in quite a few games. Personal preference I guess, but if I’ve got the points I take an R4.

I don't have too many strong feelings. In a lot of ways, Rebels are a bit of a mystery to me. Haven't flown as many of them as most other factions. If I was flying it, I might try out this.

Afterburners on Wedge seems like fun, per @wurms in the Afterburners thread on the main page right now. Get up in there, and hit some folks hard.

The B-Wings are mostly an exercise in seeing how little I could get away with on them. Braylen would probably be better with HLC, but I don't how what I'd cut in this version of the list.

Outmaneuver Jake is just something I kind of want to try someday, but it's low on my list. Maybe a missile on Jake would be the way to go instead, despite the temptation of two talents. Concussion Missiles or Proton Rockets. I feel like it isn't as good on Rebel as Resistance A-Wings. Heroic + Trick Shot is just such a natural fit, due to low cost and the rear guns. For Rebels... nothing really jumps out at me. Going Outmaneuver and Concussion is really tempting, but it wouldn't fit with Afterburners, and I want to try that more. Elusive might actually be decent on Jake. I'm kind of nervous about it on ships which like to take stress, but Jake doesn't really love to take stress. He can, but I figure most turns going only Barrel Roll/Focus or Boost/Focus without stress is probably the right approach. As such, he'd be more free to take red moves than most A-Wings. But typing that out, I guess I'm still a bit unsure on Elusive.

In some ways, I'm kind of more interested in a Predator/Intimidation Arvel Crynyd. That'd free up the points to swap out Crack Shot for Heavy Laser Cannon on Braylen.

    • I'd just take the remaining 2 points as a baby-bid.

Thats a very tough equation you have us solve there!
Its very tough to fly all these 4 and have enough points for better than mediocre upgrades.
IF I was to fly all these 4 ships as an absolute minimum I would downgrade Jake to Arvel and fly something like this.

Personally though, I would fly the B-Wings in a 3 ship list with a 5 point bid like this:

As you can see the theme is rocks for the B-Wings. Its gonna be hard for your opponent to pin them down when they can focus -> roll on a rock and they get the bonus of the extra attack/defense die. Wait for him behind the rocks with the B-Wings while Wedge moves for the flank.

I like bitterfigs list. Probably use those Bs to keep wedge alive ss long as possible with Selfless though. Jake can still block higher initiative ships. I plefer arvyl over Jake however.

Just keep in mind Collision Detector still works even if you spent all the energy, you just take the damage if you roll or boost through them.;)
Feel free to swap Afterburners on the B-Wings with an extra shield or a torpedo on Wedge.

Yeah, Selfless B-Wings are pretty sweet. Even with fewer Proton Torpedoes likely around, folks probably roll enough natural crits to soak up with those big shields.
