Be prepared to lose one early

ok so ive flown 4 fangs in hyperspace b4. my advice. be aggressive. u really want to get into range 1 asap vs most squads. ur goal should be to get range 1 shots on something early and hope ur superior faceoff keeps ur recruits in the fight longer than the stuff its shooting at.

dont forget to talon roll when it gives you arc on something trying to get in bhind.

use linked actions often. theyre gr8. ur zealous recruits have lots of movement options for shedding stress. crits will hurt ur list but they hurt everyones list so BE aggressive.

Odds are not in your favor: the only way that it will work is if the enemy also flies ships with initiative 1 and that you gave him the initiative, so you could get your target locks to launch those torpedoes.

I think I'd drop torps to upgrade pilots to 4 Skull Squadrons.

Fangs are fragile so like to fly after enemy to outmanouver them, ini 4 is not great, but solid. And I think ions are rather weak in 2nd edition, as you can hardly do 2 uncanceled hits in one shot on agile aces with all their tokens and defensive abilities, so you finish ionising non-strategic clumsy targets, which don't even care.
