Specailist Command cards....x2?

By Thalandar, in Star Wars: Legion

If you take 2 generic commanders can you take 2 set of the command cards? ie 2 of each pip?

You can only ever bring 7 command cards, one of which must be standing orders. The others must be 2 of each pip count and you cannot bring two copies of the same card

I'll also add that you do not need to take Generic Commanders to use the generic command cards that came in that pack. They are, by definition, generic command cards that any commander may use within that faction.

I think this points can answer your question:

»» A player must include two 1-pip cards, two 2-pip cards, two 3-pip cards, and the card “Standing Orders” in their command hand.
»» A player cannot include more than one copy of any command card in their command hand.

Also, as stated by @SirCormac, you don't have to have a generic commander in your army to be able to use the command cards they bring in the personnel expanssions. Those command cards aren't commander dependant, are generic like the "Ambush", "Push", "Assault" and "Standing Orders", so you can include those cards in your army with any commander, it doesn't matter if you don't use the generic.
