Well, I see the North is poorly represented on these boards at the moment. Just wondering if there was anyone here except me heading over to Patriot for the Sheffield Regionals?
W:I Regionals in Sheffield (UK)
Come to Aldershot, we have cookies..................
Alas I won't be able to make Shdeffield, this thing called work keeps getting in the way............

As were making the journey down to Aldershot for Tallgeese's regional its only fair that we make the trek up to Patriot for the sheffield one as well. It is closer after all and its been a while since we've been there to play UFS.
A few more details from the organiser wouldn't go amiss, start times, format etc.....

First and Second place at my Regional get free entry to the Sheffield Regional I believe, but let me double check that with Jim........
Cookies aside I actually live in Sheffield and don't have the faintest idea where Aldershot is but thanks for the offer! Besides, I can only tolerate the humiliation of abject failure once in any given 8 week period
.
There are some details up on the website actually, you just have to search around a bit to find it. http://www.patriotgames.ltd.uk/store/go/about-us/ Go to May on the calendar and you'll see the entry for the tournament. Click on it and it gives you some details.
We'll be bring some players from Manchester, probably between 2-6 of us.
We have 3-4 people coming down from newcastle.

Yeeaaahhh
! Now THAT's a Regional! Highlander, Multiplayer, Draft.....simply brilliant! To me, the 'I' in W:I stands not for Invasion, but for Innovation. We're doing a number of side events as well here in Orlando, Florida. I really hope you post a report that includes details on how your sides went. I would be thrilled to hear the response to that sort of thing across the pond. Most folks over here really dig that stuff, although the more myopic tourney rats tell me to sling my hook when I mention side events. We'll see how hardcore the turnout here is.....

Worst case scenario we're looking at ~12 players hopefully, but should get a few more than that (and that's assuming only the minimum mentioned numbers from Manchester and Newcastle), if we can beat the FFG Event Centre turnout that'd be awesome
And @Tallgeese: I was talking to Jim today and he mentioned free entry for the top two at your regional to me as well, so I'm guessing it stills stands ^^
One week to go before Sheffield regionals! As far as Im aware there's been no change to the information above, so that's still accurate and everything.
Two days to go . . . and I still haven't built a deck because of revision :/
Go straight High Elf!

Well we had a fantastic main event today.
Our turn out was 22 players with a good diversity of decks. Sadly somewhere close to 10 local players did not manage to get here or the attendance would have been superb.

- Mark Donnelly - Empire - 15pts
- Andrew Watson - Dark Elf with Skaven friends - 12pts

- James Hewitt - Dwarf - 9pts
- Jacky Yu - Orc with Skaven friends - 9pts

Thank you to everyone that came and played.
I would like to specially thank every one that I played for making my day very enjoyable.
Regards
Jim
Cheers for running a great event Jim. I think that the Manchester guys had a decent showing: 1st, 4th, 8th and 13th is pretty respectable. It's a shame that we couldn't make it to Aldershot. It was good to see some old faces again and the pizza was a great added extra.
Yep, a great day was had by all of us from Newcastle. Thanks for running things Jim.
Thanks for a great event Jim, and pizza was a nice touch. Look forward to travelling up to Sheffield again in the near future.
