What ship will get a huge point increese?

What list wont you be abel to fly anymore?

When do we get 4 defenders in a list?

Im terrifyed! i will stay at work, just refreshing the browser until the new points drop!

Besides giving a date, have they said anything at all about these points adjustments? Do we know if it'll be comprehensive changes across the board, with lots of little +1 point here and -2 points there, or just a nerfing of the five most overpowered pilots?

Nope. That’s one of the biggest reasons a lot of us are curious about this update, because it will likely tell us a lot about how FFG plans to handle points in the future.

This hype is getting out of hand and only sets up huge disappointment.

Hope for the best, sure. But expect the worst

Ain't that FFG's motto ? 😛

The odds of these changes making everyone happy are astronomical. Brace yourselves for incoming salt.

I have got a bad feeling about this.

Probably there will be just a few minor changes.

And everybody will go like "But what about this ship and what about this upgarde card!?" afterwards. :D

I want triple defender back in the game ! :P

Yeah, I begin to understand why I am losing interest in the game fast.

If a points-change-PDF constitutes excitement, I think I'll go watch some paint dry.

It's exciting because even small changes have the potential to affect list as much as a new release. That combination you've been itching to run might be cheap enough to see same table time or an "old" standard might be priced out and you need to challange yourself to craft something new. Point changes are a simple way to keep the game fresh without players spending a dime and if we're lucky might push the game a little further towards balance.

I'm not out to "challenge" myself; I want to play a Star Wars game for non-productive fun. What would make my game more exciting is having General Merrick and Blue Squadron on the table to run the Battle of Scarif.

Honestly, I would say that is untrue. FFG has thrown precident completely out the window in the past year.

Android: Releases new core, kills the game

Runewars: Has product being playtested, kills the game

Imperial Assault: Have a consistent map rotation cycle, throw it out the window and maintain 6+ month radio silence

The update might be a sign of things to come, but expect the unexpected with FFG

After sitting through many MTG Banned & Restricted Announcements with nothing more than “No changes to any format” I’m trying not to get my hopes too high.

12pts for proton torps have allegedly been playtested (completely unofficial source). If that is at all true, or if FFG actually implements that 12pts is a whole other story.

With their strange selection for Hyperspace (ships and upgrade card selection) I guess going by

Oh, come on! It's not like we've been outraged by putting an unreasonable amount of expectation on one thing only to have FFG do something different on numerous occasions in the very recent past!

I, and I think at least a few others, am looking forwards to the points adjustments not out of hope for a broken combo or several to be eliminated from play (though that is a strong possibility) but out of curiosity about what it will show about how they plan on refining things in game. What ends up being revealed on the 28th will set an initial precedent for us to look back on going forwards (much like how FFG did things in first ed has been bandied about as "evidence" of some's opinions of what will happen), but it won't lock them down into a set pattern. The best plan of action for anything expected to last long term is malleable so don't expect the second adjustment to replicate the first 100%. As an aside I'm going to have a few bags of popcorn around since, as happens when anything changes, someone (likely lots of someones) is going to rage, the libeling malingerers will be out in force (as usual) and there will be a comedy of short lived chaos while the community readjusts. To say that it'll be entertaining could very well be an understatement.

So, you're looking forward to a non-indicative indication of a precedent that may not apply to future applications?

Cool. I need a can of paint and a beer. 🤣

This is the safest bet, I think.

Just wanna fly my Jumpmaster. :(

If they touch Supernatural or Torpedoes, I riot. This is going to definitely be a test of how much FFG listens to the vocal whiners, as opposed to carefully fixing a select few points. Redline, Vader Crew, Whisper, and a single piece of the Boba-Marauder-Han combo are the only things that need to go up and if they hit other things, I won't be happy.

Yes, because the bomber top swarm is a hail and healthy thing.

Alpha strikes suck ***.

Are you really not able to beat bombers? LMAO just shoot them 🤣 🤣

But seriously, I thought bombers were the flavor of the week and that week was in September. Do people legitimately view them as unfair? They're so simple and straightforward to beat.

The last five posts are the exact wide ranging expectations that will be the subject of discussion come Monday. Good or bad. This forum most likely will not be happy either way.
