Temmin Wexley, Black One & Daredevil

By RealSpecter, in X-Wing Rules Questions

I would like to make sure that, what I thought of, is legal according to the rules.

We put Black One title and Daredevil on Temming Wexley (Resistance T-70) and he picks a 4 straight maneuver.

  • he does 4 straight
  • he doesn't use his ability, as he 'may' use it
  • he picks slam as an action and does 4 straight
  • he executed a 2-4 maneuver, so he uses his pilot ability and does a boost action
  • he picks hard turn for the boost from daredevil and gets a stress token
  • next round he clears the stress token with the blue 1 straight ion maneuver

Is that right?

Yup.

seems about right, you just have to receive the ion instead of a disarm with the help of the black one title.

a pretty expensive one trick low initiative ship, but it's legal.

I mean, personally I've never been a big fan of Daredevil, but the general premise of Snap using his ability post-SLAM is pretty nifty. He'd be able to work a boost in either after the first move before the SLAM (provided it isn't a red boost), or after the SLAM, depending on what puts you in the most advantageous position.

yeah, it's a fun trick. i doubt it's very useful though. i mean, you can cross the play area very quickly or setup an unexpected flank, but it's only once - and on an initiative 4 t70 at 59 points, i just don't think it's worth it. depends on what the rest of the list is doing i guess...
