This weapon only rolls 2 die at range 2-3 doesn't it? It is really close to heavy laser turret so I am just making sure. This is on the lower part of the pilot card.

It rolls the number of dice shown on the pilot card, which is two.

The name of the weapon is entirely irrelevant to how many dice it rolls.

I think they decided to call it a ‘heavy weapon turret’ (not heavy laser) because it can have the missile launcher in it.
