I need inspiration for my custom bases, what have other people done. Pics would be cool

Check out other posts in the forums, YouTube, and web searches will lead you to plenty of inspiration. There are amazing bases for 40k, Flames of War, Bolt Action and other games that could give you ideas. At this scale double-ended toothpicks, and bamboo skewers would work for sticks or small logs. Wandering around a craft store or hobby shop will give you plenty of ideas too.

Are these actually out now? I was hoping to use them for my Emperor and Royal Guard but I broke down and painted and based thisenlast week.

I obviously haven’t painted any but I suspect a mid to dark gray base coat followed by black wash and then a light gray or metallic dry brush will be the “standard.” way of basing them. If you want different you could try white base coat with a colored wash.
