As a Scum player I love my big ships(we have the most) and while they were all good in 1.0, now they are pretty bad.
Is there any hope for the yv-666? The basic generic doesn’t seem overpriced at 58, but the named pilots seem overcosted.

Lets wait till next Monday and take a look then. Right now they're not in a great place (Though Latts + Ketsu crew and Feedback/Static Discharge is deliciously evil
).
Its in a weird spot, because Scum Han and Lando in the falcons are cheaper than the generic YVs and with a few upgrades can hit just as hard, or harder than generics on top of being higher initiative with native boost.
And then, if you build a YV up with upgrades, its almost better taking a Firespray.
A slaver with Lando crew and IG88 for 70pts is about as low as it gets while packing a punch.
Bossk with some quads might work, to get those crits through. Or even 4lom crew. If I had to run a squad with a YV, it would probably be something this:

I don't remember if I got a list with it. IIRC I just put Boba (anyway you want) and bossk/moralo together. I can't say much about it because I didn't fly it yet, but it seems REALLY good in theory. The point here is to get bossk near the middle/corner rock and stay there for 3 turns with cybernectics. While there, he uses focus and lando to hit with 4 dice focus and 2 rerolls. Qi'ra may help if you need to move after those rounds, but you would need to think beforehand. Tobias would help there too, letting you place the asteroid where you really want. You could build boba with whatever you prefer (there are so many versions now), but I'm leaving some room for the changes coming.

Also been trying Lando that burns the reinforcetoken for the slaver.

Lando is the key crew. With IG-88 D for double calculate, that's strong mods. With just the Reinforce token on a low-init Trandoshan, he's got defensive and offensive mods against most ships out there.
In general, I think it's less that the YV is bad, but more that other stuff is better. YV is the same trash-dial lump with a giant arc and decent red dice mods. Not quite as strong red dice as the 1e version had, but still OK. But stuff like Boba and Kavil and 4-LOM and HWKs just got way better than 1e, and so it goes.
I am really pulling for the YV-666 to pick up a gunner slot in place of one of the crew slots. It is a pipe dream, but it would let us bring back some of the punchier builds from 1.0.

I really like Lando, 0-0-0 and BT-1.
0-0-0 either generates a stress on a target for BT-1 to exploit or gives you an extra green token for Lando, and it's a green token you can generate when stressed to boot!
I use it in a Tug swarm called Tug Life.
