Delriss

By Kareth Schara, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

I was wondering if anyone knew where exactly Delriss is in the galaxy? I am running a Force and Destiny game and we just finished the Chronicles of the Gatekeeper and they were able to save the sanctuary. I know it is about 19 hours from Cato Neimoidai.

I am afraid that its not on any records. It just comes solely from the Chronicles of the Gatekeeper adventure. I wish I knew myself. Also--that 19 hours number is probably assuming a type 1 hyperdrive so you would double that for most civilian ships (which contain a type 2). I just randomly rolled for its location (had a Letter generator and then rolled a d20 and got G 17 (assuming you use the traditional Galactic Map floating around http://www.swgalaxymap.com/ ). I like the location because it also puts them way far away from Korriban...er I mean Moraband. This means they have plenty of time for small adventures along the way. Sadly these "new planets" never get any information about exact location.

From what information I can put together (which isn't much since Delriss is so obscure it lacks a Wookieepedia article), Delriss is in the Expansion Region and coupled with the 19-hour travel time with a (presumably) class one hyperdrive, you get a result of Delriss falling into the area of grid N-O 10-12. I'm most impartial to O10 myself as it has a huge void of anything interesting in it's upper-left quadrant and it's away from any known hyperspace lane which is also a benefit since Delriss is supposed to be uninhabited and unremarkable which could easily mean the rest of the region is much the same.

Hyperspace Travel Times in the core book says 19 hours could be within the same sector or same region. I'd agree with BipolarJuice.

Time in hyperspace is woefully under explained in every Star Wars RPG. At least one outright says speed of plot.

To be fair it isnt explained at all in the source material and gets more confusing with more movies

Oh I'm perfectly aware. I'd imagine a large part is that West End Games never made a system so nobody in the entire EU had any way of making consistent travel times even if they wanted.
