By the way, anyone notice that the strange mod that comes in the ARC pack has the requirement "Republic [lock]". All the ships revealed so far qualify, so unless it's just random future proofing, they've got a lockless ship in the works. I'd assume the N-1 will have the lock action as well, since it presumably carries torpedoes.
What to expect from the Republic? From Democracy?!

As an X-Wing equivalent (7B config) it gets a better hull to shield ratio and a dial more suited to knife fighting, with 1-turns instead of a 1-straight, and 2-trolls replacing 3-trolls. Or it can be a slightly slower A-Wing (blue 1-banks instead of 2-turns) with a better upgrade bar (config, mod, mech) and more action flexibility. I'm betting it'll be slightly more expensive than both, especially seeing as the generic is an I3 with a force token. Maybe 50 and 40 points respectively?
I do like the visual distinction, though, so I'll probably go with two ARCs and two Aethersprites (assuming points work out) and reevaluate when they release the V-Wing.

The Clone Z-95s would be nice, even though they don't really look too Z-95ish to me. They remind me more of the Planetary Defender Starfighter, personally.

I didn't know how much I agreed with this statement on the game now until I read this.
