By Wytefang, in Warhammer Invasion Deck Building

Hey folks,

You guys have stood out to me as really knowing your deck-building "stuff" so I'm writing to you specifically for your help and/or assistance. Regionals are coming up this next Friday and I'm putting together my final deck or decks for it. However, as others have mentioned, I'd rather not post what I'm working on in here for anyone to see (thus getting a bit of an advantage).

If any of you would be willing to take a look at what I'm working on and share some thoughts and/or opinions on them, I'd be appreciative. If not, no worries either... I'm still going to make my own decisions but I wouldn't mind some extra feedback either, thus this post.

If you'd be willing share thoughts or opinions, please send me a quick email via my email address at: Wytefang AT hotmail DOT com .

Thanks...

PS. If any of you ARE attending the Regionals LCG MEGA Event here in Minneapolis at the FFG Event Center than I'd have to rescind my request to you for obvious reasons. ;)

PPS. There are plenty of sharp people out there but these guys seem to be the most active with some good insight into deck-building. I mean no offense to anyone else with this post.

This thread sounds a bit strange, but I generally dont understand the regional "i dont post my deck" things.

Either you got some real new deck that will crush its enemies anyway.
Or you get some kind of "standard" deck.
So why not post it here?

Anyhow, if you are interested in a look from the german side (I wont be at the regionals :) ) write me a message with the deck.

Feel free to send me the deck in a PM. It definitely makes sense not to advertise the deck you're playing. Not because people will copy your deck, but because people will know exactly what you're playing when they sit down across from you.

my advice -

Dwarves for the win!!! Fooooorrrrrrrge!

(reduces your costly Relic by 1! AND it makes Gromril Armour earn you a resource! ok not really, BUT I'd play Forge then! )

emailed.

Hi,

I'm answered your call. It's a good thing if my ideas could help. (at least I hope they could)

Cain

I will send you an E:mail. I have not been posting here much as I just had a baby boy born and my time prioirties have changed alittle, I am still playing with me brother though, and he is very good, but my play pool is not as big as it was. But send me what you got and I will comment.

congrats dwynarc!

congrats again short posts not allowed

EDITED - figured it out, nevermind. :)

And congrats to Dywnarc! :)

Congrats Dywnarc ! happy.gif

Back on deckbuilding : Yesterday I tested my first "designed to be competitive" Order deck and it worked. Strange. I tought I could only play destruction. demonio.gif

(It was a Grudge Thower deck, but with my limited cardpool... so no Slayers of Karak Kadrin or Great Book of Grudges yet)

Even if I'm not in the Deckbuilder Olympus...you have a mail.

I'm sorry but I didn't see this thread in time. I would have tried to help.

An idea for a deck building group could be to start a page on facebook. That way people can post general information on the wall and if you want to mail someone privately, its built in. Just something to consider.

Isn't that the purpose of this sub-forum ? There is no need of a Facebook group.

Honestly, I do not know if there is a private message system on these forums. If there is, it would be nice to learn of. If not, that is one reason for facebook.

Another reason for facebook would be to get the word out more about the game. Facebook is huge and I'm sure more than a few people would be interested in this game that may have never even heard of it.

Well, I'll be damned. I was about to type "Of course, there is, here, you have to do like that"... and I couldn't find any P.M. system.. at first. You can send P.M. but only to your friends. You need to add (and be added) to send a P.M.

Anyway, even without a full P.M. system, an official open forum is still a better place to discuss deckbuilding than a Facebook group. There is no need to fragment the already few discussions about it.

Beside, there are still a few non-Facebook people in the world, including me. :)

DEATH TO FACEBOOK!!!

have to admit - i'm only on there to get messages from my friends who live on facebook gui%C3%B1o.gif

Well, it seems I didn't received the deck to help to adjust. :)

BTW, it seems that the final deck was ok based on the report.

I apologize too, to several of you, I ended up just not having time to get your advice and help. :( In the end, after several desperate attempts to find a competitive Order deck to face down the Skaven/Orc Rush decks (or Skaven/DE Rush), I ended up admitting to myself that I'd just have to suck it up and play the lame easier deck - however, I wasted so much time working on a counter-deck to the current meta that I didn't tweak my Rush deck as thoroughly as I could. SIGH!!
