Wondering when we will be getting real droids? Not just some random med droid or astro droid. Anxiously waiting for probes, k droids, and protocol droids. Security droids would be nice too!
Droids
R2-D2 and C-3PO have got to be just around the corner...
I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see them for imperials and rebels until after prequel stuff comes out. There will be quite a bit of development going into the droid units for separatists and I think once those mechanics are sorted out they'll use them for rebel and imperial droids.
Presumably the Separatists will have some whenever Clone Wars stuff releases...
Sooner rather than later!
And let's not forget the Power Droid. We need him (her?) too!

How dare you forget the name of our lord and savior: The GNK Droid. May he bless us all with his mighty gonk

Does anyone know the model numbers of the two astromechs coming out in the personnel boxes?

Rebels get the 2-1B medical droid and an R5 series astromech.
Imperials get the FX-9 medical droid and an R4 series astromech.

R4 for Imperials and R5 for Rebels. It makes sense though considering that R3s with clear domes won't ever be added, and R2's model will be saved for R2-D2. It does make me curious to see what 'Repair' and 'Treat' droids we will see when Republic and CIS get their specialist pack.

I sort of wish the Imperials had gotten the FX-7 instead of the FX-6, considering the FX-6 is only really known from its brief scene in ROTS whereas the FX-7 would bring classic Battlefront feels along with being from ESB. It would be great if they gave a new condition card at somepoint that added a GNK droid and FX-7 to the battlefield and being within range 1 of it would let you get a bonus from them on a Corps unit, since having a free 'Treat' on the field would be too strong with commanders.

Honestly, I don't see a treat droid fitting thematically in the Separatist droid army. It'd attach to corps like the B1 and possibly B2, which are more or less expendable swarm assets. They might get something else entirely, like a "buzz" sabotage droid (unless that is pressed into service as a repair droid).

It is FX-9 according to the card, not FX-6.

They could go for Grievous' assistant, sincce there are a few organics in their ranks.

Right, the confusion came from the fact that FX-6 is the old name for the droid's series while in the new canon it is called an FX-9. Still prefer the FX-7 though.
