Imperial Generic Commander

By JediPartisan, in Star Wars: Legion

Is it just me or does the Imperial Generic Commander mini from the Specialists pack look like Rose Tico?

It does not look like the picture on the box even a little.

Not sure if it’s just the way it was painted, but is anyone planning on changing the sculpt a bit in some way?

Also, I wonder why the delay in the article? Not complaining, just curious, especially since there was a rumour the Specialists were going to be delayed.

She looks like Governor Price or Juno Eclipse in the painted pictures I've seen.

the artwork and actual model don't resemble each other

Same with the Rebel Sniper.

Veers is just as bad... We get a super awkward pose instead of the full on Rommel glove adjusting pose.

what happened to Veers in canon? I know IRL Rommel was forced to commit suicide to protect his family because he was implicated in an assasination plot gainst Hitler and then they pretended he died in a bombing so they did not have to publicly show a popular German hero as being part of a plot.

Veers was taken out by Hobbie when the latter directed his critically damaged vessel into Veers's AT-AT

Should have specified- I was referring to the Disney Canon. In Legends, Hobbie and Veers both survied Hoth.

Where do they say that in the Disney cannon? (Veers never gets taken out on screen mind)

Looks like it was cited in this reference book.

Urgh. Surely there are already enough suicide attacks in the established fluff without bringing in more of them?

Just to clarify:

That's the first picture of "just" the sniper mini I found in Google images when I was looking for one.

So that's not my paintjob. Sorry.

EU: Injured in when Hobbie's snowspeeder rams the AT-AT's head. Both survive but are injured severely. Veers ends up getting a lot of mechanical implants/life support to stay alive, and is sidelined as a result. He pops back up one last time leading troops during Dark Empire, where he finally is allowed to die.
Disney: Who knows? Maybe he died on Hoth, maybe he died at Endor, maybe he died at Jakku, maybe he hopped universes and died drinking from the wrong cup.

Well, this particular "suicide" attack dates back to the original script and made it into the novelization, so it predates 90% of the others.

They actually filmed the sequence where the snowspeeder rams into the AT-AT, and you see Veers throw his arms up. It's relatively easy to find online, but the shot wasn't included because the effect did not work well. It's also pretty superfluous to the story, and the battle has a better pace without it in my opinion.

1. No, my generic commander does not look like the worst character since Jar Jar.

2. Ffg usually delays the article such that it’s one full reveal per week maximum. They did Rebels last week. We will see if they get an Imperial one out in time. They don’t have to really, since Crabbok got his in and unboxed it.

Veers needs to hold something in that daft pose. I've used the binoculars from the rebel squad leader.

Same here, I got a pair of binoculars from 40k that fits perfectly.
